Ability to "set" Hunt Teams

Ability to "set" Hunt Teams
Posted 2021-04-30 21:04:36

Hello! This is quite a simple suggestion (and has perhaps already been made!) but I was hoping for a feature that might let us "lock in" our hunt teams.

For example, Wolf #1 is suggested by the game for use as a 'Finisher' due to superior stats, but I'd like to set Wolf #2 as the 'Finisher' so that she might gain stats and stay in the role long term. It would be nice to simply "lock in" a team's positions with the wolves of the player's choice so that you don't have to reset/revise the games suggested placements each time you send a team out on a hunt.

Please let me know if there is something I failed to address in this proposal or if there is a problem with the proposition that I had not considered!

Thanks for your time! Be well!

I agree with this suggestion, especially if we can do this on the Edit portion of Hunting as well as Create a Party.

I see only a need for coding here, except in the case of the tutorial quest for hunting.  There may be a spot of art required for Tala, though I noted a few of her poses/expressions appeared re-used in quests so perhaps no additional art for her is needed.

In particular, this would have been a great feature when I replaced the Finisher of one of my hunting parties.  The game suggested Chi, a Chaser, because he was level 16 so his Strength could not help but be higher than my new Finisher who had yet to be trained.  Yeah, this didn't matter after I completed a single hunt because now my new wolf had proficiency, but it would have been wonderful then if I could have "set" my new wolf as Finisher prior to her first hunt.

@Zeraki

Beautifully put and explained! This is exactly why I'd love to see this edit made (the same thing happened with my Finisher) and you laid out the steps required to make this a reality wonderfully. It would certainly be ideal to have this feature on both the 'Edit' portion of hunting and in 'Create a Party.'

Thanks so much for the support!

I would love this! Even if it didn’t fully lock a wolf into a role but maybe set one as their default position

Hey BlueFox! Yes that would be wonderful! And the “locking in” of a Hunter in a spot would ideally always be changeable if you go to the edit screen ;)
