My First Lead is Retiring. Oh no... Help?
Posted 2021-04-24 09:50:50

hello hi tysm for checking out this thread : ) I'm hoping I put it in the right place to get some attention and help.

the wolf that I started out with is retiring tomorrow and I was not ready to say goodbye. I need to pick someone to take her place, but I have a really hard time picking. I'm a pretty casual player, but I would still like to pick someone who would be the best option in getting good wolves.  they need to be fairly young, ofc, but other than best stats/markings/genetics I'm a bit uneducated.

so if there's anybody who'd like to be gracious and give a glance over my wolves to give their opinion on who the best would be, I'm all ears and super grateful! personally, I had two picks in mind, one of them seeming like the best option, while the other is more like... story/lore based for my pack.

Option #1 of my picks is Sunrise. He was the pick for my Stud role w good stats and flexible markings.

Option #2 of my picks is Hare. She's one of the daughters of my lead who is more the same as Sunrise was close stats and markings, but her pick is mostly for the lore...

I want to hear as many opinions as possible before rollover : ) if you pick a wolf just link them down so I can see them and know! and if you help THANK YOU so much!!

From a straight gameplay standpoint I think Sunrise would be the best option. When you say getting good wolves I assume you mean can produce nice stat/pups that people will buy. Sunrise has high starting stats, A T2 base, and is low gen(which a lot of players want in wolves these days).

^ i agree that sunrise is the best option for the same reasons daisy has mentioned! i recently chose my new lead because of her starting stats and low lineage. battling has been much easier compared to my first lead!

I'm afraid I'm going to be biased to Sunrise since I noticed you bought him from me and his family includes some of my favorites. LOL

I would have said that one anyway due to tier 2 base, stats, and low gen.

But there is no reason you couldn't keep Sunrise as your stud and the other one as lead if you want both?

id say solstice since, other than kubo his line seems pretty clear of big names and hes t2 with multiple number of marks OR as an alternate, depending on how you want to go, you could always choose youre favorite t1 (such as your leads children) and then try and breed them to t2s to breed up a teir. so to speak. long as your careful about who you pair them with, you can keep your lines clean, have strong wolves and possibly teir up base wise.

i mean in general solstice would be the quick pick, but a leads descendants might be something to go to in order to do lore.

im coming on this late but im so thankful for everyone's opinions! sunrise is a good choice as most of you agree, and solstice is one to consider now too. I'll have to look between them and pick at RO! i hate picking, lol... but this process has made it easier.

thank you all for taking the time to put in your thoughts again!

Solstice is very pretty, but he does have way lower stats and he is much higher gen - his family tree goes on to second page. Low gen and higher stats are important to a lot of players if possible studding fees are something you are after.

in the end i looked between both sunrise and solstice, and I ended up picking sunrise! so congrats to him, but rest in peace moss-fish :'(

I picked Sunrise because he's not related to any of my wolves and will bring in some new blood, while Solstice had a long lineage and a lot relatives from wolves within my pack! like yall said, lower gen, high stats. I'm excited for this new choice and the possibilities behind it- everybody keep an eye out for sunrise ;-D
