Clean Line Canines? (Any Clean Breeders?)

I forget. Is Big 4 severely inbred or simply that they had a fuck ton of cubs?

They had a fuckton of cubs, who then got kinged, and had fuckton of cubs, who then got kinged and had a fuckton of cubs, and so on and so forth until pretty much every lion onsite was Big 4 Descendent which meant pretty much all lions onsite had inbreed in their ancestry.

If you avoid one, generally, you also avoid the other, which is why clean breeding started out as avoiding popular sires and their bloodlines but also came to mean avoiding inbreeding as it was essentially the same thing.

Hiya folks! It’s a helluva long time since I played Lioden, so I hope you are ok with a noob question. What’s the difference between clean line breeding and hard mode? I’m trying to set myself a project that is more than my usual  ‘ooh that’s pretty!’. Other than trying to stay with mainly natural-looking wolves.

Also, I don’t quite get how you can keep your lead and your stud each time as part of your original line without them all being inbred.  Clearly I’m not grasping this properly, could someone explain it for me please?

Thanks!

Hard mode means you cant take in outside blood from other players. You can do this in clean breeding

Hello! I'm pretty new on Wolvden and on LD, but I'm interested in the challenge of clean breeding for sure, and intend to keep on going. Probably not hard core, though, I really like picking up other people's lines and projects for both the camaraderie and the boost. It's really fun to trawl through the genealogy on LD and while I haven't really had cause here, yet, I'm sure I'll enjoy checking things out. Before this thread I had no idea so many studs were already so popular! Also learning more good abbreviations like LB wolves and the like, makes it a lot less intimidating to see them used in context.

That's the fun thing about clean breeding: There's only like a handful of rules, the rest is up to you

Welcome, btw!
