Unpopular opinions (game-specific)

Disagree, honestly. I prefer this term to calling them "ugly", but that might be just me.

Not too fond of the 'no-gifting' system, honestly. It would make refunding studding and just surprising your friends much easier - the private trades do expire after some time and just redoing them if the other user is less active or disappears just gets annoying/frustrating after doing it for a while.

Agree, a gifting system would be amazing and easier for the "free/refunded" offers/buying art on the forums.

I think lineart bases should be allowed for in-game profit if they were free/paid for fairly and credited on adoptable/YWH designs but I do understand why you cant do so.

Agree, while also understanding why it’s not allowed. I think if the artist gives permission to profit off of their lineart, then it should be allowed.

extremely unpopular opinion, please do not attack me for it as I’ve already been for venting about it before. Tier 2 and 3 studs are slightly overrated. Yes, i understand that it gets you money and that’s why its sought after, but tier 1s should be given just as much of a fair chance, especially if they have a reasonable amount of markings. It especially would benefit newbies who cant afford to replace their stud just because nobody will give it a chance. I’m not saying the fees for tier 1s should be risen, but even if they dont bring as much money, they still deserve a chance. It’s unfair to people with tier 1s who cant afford to replace a stud to sit there and wait for it to die just to bring in a new stud. All studs regardless of tiers, markings, etc deserve a chance.

I agree to a degree, but there’s no way to enforce that. It’s up to the players, and it’s fun to try for tier IIs but I do think some tier Is can be pretty.

Umm, I don’t like chasing wolves. I wish there was an option, maybe once they reach adolescence to just choose a wolf and choose “leave”. Chasing just seems mean. Just because I don’t have space doesn’t mean I want to chase them away.

Agree - I'd like even just a wording change. Chasing sounds so aggressive. I like to imagine it more as them choosing to go off and start their own packs. At least if I chase them as adults they have the chance of being found by someone else, which helps with that imagining.

I don't get the hype of having duplicate markings. I mean, it's one thing if they're different colors of the same marking because that can change the color (red and white markings on top of each other to make a marking look pink, for instance), but I'll see wolves up for sale with three instances of black merle and I just don't get it. Makes you more likely to get merle pups, I guess? But I'd rather have a wolf that looks interesting on their own.

Half and half, I really only see why youd want that if it you were breeding for more of the same marking, but personally I dont really care for it and agree with being more unique.

Honeydew is actually a really nice base with a couple markings added, and nicer than even some t2s

Disagree! I like designing wolves, and it's fun to use multiples of the same .ark for layering effects. One of my girls is designed with a layered mark like that, making part of her legs darker.

edit (sniped): Agreed! I love the honeydew base. My first planned immortal is honeydew.

I don't particularly get the fox hype, especially the raised prices for fox eyes. 15gc for a fox-eyed pup?

I get the fox hype because it unlocks more tier III bases, but I do agree that sometimes they can be overpriced especially just for the eyes.

I also want to agree on honeydew, because I know a lot of people don’t like the green wolves but I love them personally.

I wish there were a tier II green shaded base.

I don't agree personally. The green shading looks kinda gross to me, but I can see how some people like them. I may not want one,  but I can see why others would.

Some things are rare and don't need to be. Why are simple decors that use rocks, leaves, and sticks so hard to find? It's not like any of them look super special either, they're all pretty basic looking. Having them be around the same drop rate as the bone decors makes more sense to me, with backgrounds being harder to find.

agree. I have uet to find recipes that i need for design plans and jave had to resort to pytting the materials and a crafting fee in tc and hope someone will make it for me.

I actually love how hard the game is! I played Lioden, and my pride grew way too quick for me to keep up with and I ended up letting pretty much all of them run and going on a hiatus for almost a full year. Here, there's more of a challenge, and I can keep my pack small but still have it feel large. And I can focus more on lore as well.
