Welcome to the Lineage/Heritage Breeder Group

So I decided to create a NIB breeding clan. I know that this is a debated topic on Wolvden and on Lioden. Some people see this as a competition, a goal, while others may not view it in the same light. Of course, there is multiple types of NIB and IB breeding so I'm going to make a few subgroup terms that players and their wolves will fall under.

This group focuses on NIB which is Non-Line-Bred Wolves. However, there is also terminology/information for IB, In-bred, wolf players.

This group is still being worked on so the different terms may change. If anyone has any ideas let me know by messaging me or commenting below. :)

Our Goal

This clan is just to help inform players of the different variations of NIB. People here can speak their mind about their breeding preferences and find other players with similar views.

This a friendly and supportive forum. Bad language or bullying will not be tolerated.

When there are more members there will be giveaways of items, SC, and GC

The Different Terms of Lineage/Heritage

On Wolveden, there is no health/genetic risk for IB,In-breeding, however some players want to be realistic or want to have goal/challenge so they choose NIB.

Also the sub categorizes can work for both NIB & IB.

(Information Sourced from VagueShapes #828 and AshPaw #1643 )

NIB/NLB (No-Line Bred/Not In-bred) - This is when a wolf does not have any related ancestors in their Heritage/family tree

  • OGL (Original Pair Line) - When the pack/lead wolves are related to the original starter wolves.
    • OGP (Original Pair) - When a wolf/pack is descendent from both original lead/Breeding pair
    • OLL (Original Lead Line) - This is when the wolf is descendent from the lead wolf
    • OSL (Original Stud Line) - A pack/wolf is descendent from the players first breeding stud
  • HLW (Heirloom Wolves) - This when players don't modify their wolves with GC items, like shuffle/applicator markings/or delete markings, and continue breeding NIB wolves. This term was created by  Khoshehk #5362 and their forum can be found at Heirloom Wolves

IB (In-breeding) - This is when the same wolf/or more appear throughout the heritage.

  • LB (Line-Bred) - Wolves who do have instances of inbreeding, but not between first degree relatives. So no mother/son, father/daughter, brother/sister pairings, for instance, but cousins would technically be fine
  • OCR (Outcrossed) - A wolves' parents that share a very distant ancestor, one, in their family tree.

To Do List:

- Create a term for NBW crosses with NIB

- King Studs terminology

The King Studs

These wolves are the top studs, most often bred, with other player's wolves. They will have the most Descendants in Wolvden. This is just information to players who want to avoid LB. You can still breed to the King Studs or their descendants and still not be LB.

Do we need to do give any info to join? I'll be doing NIB, OGL, with OCR if I get a particularly special wolf ^^
