Returned Souls

4/17 (on my cousins' and grandma's birthdays): I recently lost my favorite wolf, Sarso, that I was going to immortalize. Unfortunately, I didn't give him the jellyfish in time and today he passed...

I was heartbroken, I had used all the GC I collected to save a slot for him and get a jellyfish. I wanted to get him to 7 years and 9 months and then give him the jellyfish.

It turns out I forgot to do it earlier and that's when I got the notification about a deceased wolf.

Anyways, here's my idea:

What if-- just what if-- there was an event, somewhat like the Lunar Event, where you can bring back A DECEASED wolf, not ANY, but A deceased wolf? Every time the event repeats (maybe every year, every two months, etc), you are allowed to bring back just one wolf.

You'd have to collect enough Soul Shards in order to bring back this wolf and complete a quest, depending on your level. If you're not able to complete the quest, you'd need to pay around 2 GC or more depending on the difficulty of the quest.

More to it:

(I have to come up with an idea for how it would work, but I can leave that to you guys in the comments!)

I know, this thread is pretty plain, but I just wanted to share this idea! ^^

Edit 4/26: Since immortal wolves won't really have a role on Earth, they should accompany you during events, exploring, etc! :o

Yes- this seems like a good idea! That way I’d have a chance to see my boy back.

Now, the question is: What would this be used for? If you don’t immortalize the wolf, would they just die again? Or are they a ghost? Would they count as an adult wolf in the game?

This seems like a really good idea- with some tinkering

No, it's basically like just going across Rainbow Bridge to find them. When you do, you either have the option to play with them, hang out with them, or you can give them enough soul shards to enable them to return to the earth with you, where you need to have an immortal slot and jellyfish available.

Now I'm not sure if the jellyfish should be required though since there should be enough soul shards to substitute for one. So all you need is an immortal slot.

Overall, they're just a spirit that you can interact with in a variety of ways and the event serves as a way to bring back your loved one.

I hope that answered your question and nothing was confusing!

Support! I haven't lost any wolves yet, but I'd love to have this game feature too!

i love this idea.

i have some wolves in  my dynasty that i love.

100% support your idea.

maybe before they come back to life and back to your pack you need to have space for them  that is if they are an adult wolf.

We do need ideas for future events for sure, and I really like this one actually. I have lost every member of my og pack currently, and it would be lovely to get to interact with some of them again with the chance to bring one back as an immortal wolf if I really wanted- though I figure maybe soul shards could also be used in an event shop if there's people who don't want an immortal wolf, so they have incentive to participate.

But yeah! It'd give a nice opportunity for players who struggle to get GC and players who missed their immortal window to snag someone special to them. It sounds very sweet.

Well, if it's something like the lunar event, maybe it could be something like this where certain encounters have a percentage chance to drop the lunar shards and once you have enough of them they can be crafted into a revival item/traded with an npc?

I made a mockup- I own NONE of the artwork, it's just an edit.

Yeah, maybe! :D

Maybe one of your deceased wolves could show up instead of that puppy ;0
