Wolf:Β wolvden.com

Design Idea: Looking for lighter accents, making slate have less black. maybe a monochromatic design with hints of a more colorful color? I don't have a solid idea for what I want so you're free to do whatever you think would look good.

Guidelines:Β free to change everything except for base color, only markings in marking applicators. At least one of the markings has to be marbled unders.

# Of Markings:Β 6 or more

Payment:Β 5gc and 100sc

Ooh, a slate! Exciting. You mention hints of colour, and since I see he has a yellow marking, I might lean into those warm tones. Let me get some mock-ups done and I'll check in again.

I'm guessing you want the marbled unders to be quite visible, so in one of the last marking spots? Or is it ok if I layer them in lower and hide the mottled effect a bit?

Pricing sounds perfect.

Sorry it took me a while to respond, warm tints sound pretty cool. And the only reason why I want marbled unders to be incorporated is because it's one of my favorite markings, and since I'm planning on making him my breeding male I'd like that marking to pass to some pups, you can put it in any slot you'd like, I don't mind if you hide the mottled effect a bit.

Ah ok, good to know!

I've worked on a couple of drafts for you, to test different styles. First up I have a very blended, subtle design, quite warm, with the marbled unders incorporated in.

Next I have a contrasted, starker layering, with the marbled unders on display.

Which type do you like best? Does one of these designs catch your eye already, or do you want me to work on one of them some more? Did I lighten him up too much?

Let me know if neither is what you had in mind and we can narrow it down further.

Holy Cow!! Both came out really nice, I really like how the second one came out in particular, he looks like a completely different wolf and I'm digging the design, doesn't even look like a slate lol (which is actually what I wanted). I think I'll keep the second one unless there are any other suggestions you had in mind. You chose a perfect shade, not too dark or light, and good contrast, well done. :D

How aren't there ever before and after pics on Wolvden design threads?! look at this glow-up!!

Thank you so much for the glowing praise, I'm really glad you like it! And how fun indeed to see the before and after! :D

I don't really have any other suggestions. :) I just encourage you to play around a bit with opacities and make him yours. I'll send you the wardrobe link now!

I'll be studding to this boy for sure, if you make him public. :)

Wolf: Sæwine

Design Idea: A fox that doesn't look like a fox. XD I'm giving this guy a fox base but I can't say I care for how it looks. I want something more muted or monochrome in tone and overall unique. Something more realistic and natural looking while still passing markings that will look pleasing to the eye on potential offspring. His name literally means "sea friend" so if you want to use that for the theme, be my guest.

Guidelines: Rule #1: Make it look good on him. Rule #2: Use marks/colors that will look good on most pups. XD Rule #1 is more important in this case. ;D Keep ventral markings light in shade and dorsal markings generally darker in shade.

# Of Markings: Max them out

Payment: SC and Acorns. :3
