Prehistoric (Quaternary extinction) animals in game?

Prehistoric (Quaternary extinction) animals in game?

Although I'm new to this Wolvden, I have played its sister game, Lioden before, and I believe I can say that although this game is still in its beginning stages it has some key features that Lioden lacks that will allow it to eventually surpass the former. That being said, the fact that its environment is based on North and South America means that it is lagging behind Lioden in one key aspect: the other animals you can encounter in the game.

The Quaternary Mass Extinction is an event that is theorized to have been brought about by humans expanding throughout the globe back in our caveman days. The fossil record shows that on most continents, many species went extinct, something their ecosystems are still in the process of recovering from. However, because Africa is the continent on which humanity first evolved and learned to coexist with the world, it was spared from that mass extinction and boasts a species diversity that is today unequaled by the rest of the world as a result. Because Lioden is set in Africa, it can take advantage of that species diversity.

As a result, I think there should be a way players can encounter the animals that lived before the Quaternary Mass Exctinction in the game, perhaps in an endgame biome or through a special option. You could fight them in explore and have the option to hunt them and bring carcasses back. I realize this would be a lot of work on the part of the devs, but I think it would be a great way to add species diversity to the game. There were a lot of weird and wonderful animals that lived back then, too.

No support. America is diverse enough without bringing the past back to life.

While wolvden is unrealistic in coat colors, that's all and I'd want to keep it that way unless their was a valid reason for it. The biome idea is cute but overall just gives me ice age dawn of the dinosaurs vibes  with wolves living deep underground and that bothers me for some reason? Unless their was a legitimate explanation for them to exist I wouldn't want it. And even with an excuse it'd probably be better suited for a monthly event or something
