Searching for literate wolf role players! Basic plot outline ready with a Warrior Cats feel

Good morning all!

I have been having a hard time connecting with the wolves on this site and I really feel that it’s because I have not taken the time to flesh them out and really turn them into individuals. So I am looking for a smallish group of people who are also looking to develop their characters and commit to a long term semi lit to literate wolf role play either on here or a Discord or something to that affect. 

I am fairly flexible and I am also looking for folks to want to help me admin this thing and get it going as I am not very experienced at that. I am open to accepting “unrealistic” wolves so long as we’re all on board with that and how to create limitations so no one is over powered but can still retain their characters individuality. 

Full disclosure I am 29 years old and have been roleplaying for over 15 years and I would like to allow some mature themes to take place, further down you’ll see the basic plot line and that it contains darker material. I am willing to go further in depth but I’d like to allow swearing and violence within reason to take place in character. Nothing of a sexual nature should take place where others can see but I would like to find a group of mature people that are comfortable with darker tones.

As far as pack structure I would like to emulate something similar to a Warriors Cat style where there is a:

Leader

Deputy

Warriors

Pupsitters

Apprentices

Elders

Medicine Wolf and Assistant

I am fine with renaming these things and adding or deleting some roles to suit our needs, this is to just give us a basic template to build off of.

The storyline I have in mind is certainly open to change but it was something I had in mind years ago I never got to use and am hoping some people here have interest in it. If not I am open to other ideas, I just find some kind of over arching plot tends to keep people focused while still free to have their own interactions.

PLOT:

The setting is a wild terrain much like the environment here on Wolvden that has everything from Tundras to thick forests who’s finger like branches reach towards the sky. Mountainous peaks dot the land, but one towers above the rest, unbeknownst to the residents of this land the mighty peak is actually a dormant volcano that has been waiting for the right time to reactivate its apocalyptic fury. 

The time finally comes on the night of a full moon when the two packs meet in peace to discuss as they do once a moon, it is said that this tradition started so long ago that the two packs were still one and it was meant as a time for bonding. It has since developed into a night of accusations and bets around as the packs warriors and apprentices face off for supremacy. Even the medicine wolves it seem have forgotten their previous friendships as sit apart from one another and hoard their healing secrets.

It is during one of these ill fated evenings that a transgression was made that changed the packs lives forever. Emotions rose high over a territorial dispute and in the fight that broke out an apprentice was killed.

Smoke immediately began to pour from the mouth of the mountain and an ominous red glow filled the sky. Seemingly the same moment a fork of lightning lanced through the sky and a strange wolf appeared in their midst.

Though no wolf knew this stranger he seemed to know them, and claimed he came from a pack on the other side of the mountain, that their tales tell of a great pack that once ruled the lands but then eventually split up into what they are now. This wolf claimed their warrior ancestors came to him in a dream begging him to come forward and help his lost brethren regain their faith and help them find their roots so that they might live in peace again.

The wolf claimed the earth was so angry at the bloodshed that the only way to pay back for their crimes was to pay with their own blood. He informed the packs that once a moon a wolf would be chosen by receiving a prophetic dream that they were next to be sacrificed and that they must walk up the face of the mountain and throw themselves into its gaping maw.

Some felt fear and distrust towards this stranger and his dark and mysterious ways, it had been years since a Medicine Wolf had communicated through dreams with their ancestors and they widely believed it to be false it ever happened. But some saw this as a way to end their vicious lifestyle and look to a happier tomorrow, a savior had been sent to them.

the strange wolf disappeared as soon as he appeared and said he would be back in a  few moons to check on their progress and bring more messages from their warrior kindred.

and so the packs are left waiting for the first of them to begin the walk up the mountain to their doom.
