I've seen a few mentions of "big name" wolves and I assume it's like the Big 4 in Lioden, who are these wolves so I know how to recognize them in another wolf's lineage? Thank you! |

If you look at enough wolves' family trees you'll probably start to recognize them pretty quick, lol. Faelor/Dick might be *the* big name, if I remember correctly he was the first Fox on site so he's got a looooot of descendants as you can probably imagine. Looking at his living offspring list nearly crashed my browser lmao. You will see wolves sometimes advertised as 'no Faelor' or 'Dickless' for folks specifically trying to avoid his lineage. |

I tend to check all the males from wolf's lineage and pay attention to two things: pup count and stats. If the wolf has bred close to 1000 pups and has stats over, let's say 850, I'd consider them one of the "popular studs". People have different opinions on who is "popular" and who's not, this is just the way I see it personally :) Studs who were among the first to have something, like passable mutations, rare bases or markings often get studded a lot and become "big names". Oh and leaderboards! If the stud is listed there and has studding enabled/has bred tons of pups, that's definitely one of the big name wolves. Faelor, Emperor, Kubo, The MOOF, Ghost At Twilight, Michael Scott, Echo, Ursa, Sunfall, Ikaiq... those are some I can name |
