Development Update #7

The new battling system sounds nice! Will certainly try it out.

The new Healing Salves however... I am not really a fan of.

For the normal healing salve, it means while I get 20HP, it also means I am way less likely to up my HP without wasting some of that salve. For example, I am currently at 31/43 but using another salve would "waste" 9HP so it's not worth it for me.

It's worse for the Rich Healing Salve. Unless I am at lvl 20 I will always waste some of those HP... but maybe I am one of few players of view it that way. And it still doesn't really change the high cost of 15 herbs versus 2.

Awesome! I'm so glad that the time of days and nights entered the cooldowns! I'm looking forward to the new Lunar event.

Oh yeah I noticed this. Packs of animals were more powerful than single animals. Whether the enemy could damage me or not felt totally random, and I would lose for stupid reasons. I love that this new combat system will let me choose my moves more carefully. I love that battling snakes might give me a chance to get poisoned now. And that strategy will differ by species instead of feeling bland and the same. Hopefully I can choose my moves more strategically too, and do more than latch, bite, shear, and crush, with some moves more effective than others. Latching might be easier to do on a smaller animal, and it might be much harder to crush a bear. Maybe I can dodge and jump around too.
