...Is my game bugged regarding illnesses?

...Is my game bugged regarding illnesses?

I’ve been playing since early access with what I’d reckon is a decently sized pack for a casual player like myself, but in all this time I’ve almost never rolled an illness. The only things I’ve really had to treat are the rare occasions I get open wounds, ticks, ear mites, etc. from my scouts and hunters, or diarrhea on my lead. Any illnesses other than this I’ve either never had, or only experienced once or twice in months. I have so many herbs saved up, along with tons of different cures, but they practically never get used. My quarantine cave has only ever been used once, and that was months and months ago, shortly after EA.

The herbalist/illness mechanic is starting to feel hollow and useless to me, to be honest. D;

I’m not sure where to address this, since I’m honestly uncertain if I’ve just been extremely fortunate with the illness RNGs, or if the system is actually malfunctioning for some reason in regards to me. Is there some niche of gameplay I’m just not involved enough in to activate illnesses? I have multiple hunting parties that frequently use up all of their hunts, I scout regularly, and I breed pups fairly regularly, on top of exploring and battling. Is it just normal to never have to use cures, even when you’re an active player?

I don’t want to send in a report for no good reason, so I’m looking to verify this issue. If this doesn’t seem odd or unusual, I’ve got a ton of herbs and cures stored that I can turn into SC and get an actual benefit from, so I’m looking forward to some advice. LMAO

I haven’t had many illnesses either, and I’ve been playing since the first day of public access. Aside from the common ones that you mentioned (diarrhea, open wounds, the occasional ticks, ear mites, or fleas from hunting or an NBW), I think I’ve had one case of influenza and maybe a couple others, although I think some of them were from feeding my wolves rotting food.

I have been playing every day since the first day of EA and, just like you, I think I have rolled like, 2 or 3 illnesses. I got infulenza yesterday on one of my adols and something a while back, but it seems to me that are really rare occasions.

I don't know if the fact that I keep my pack always fully fed and played with lower the chances of my wolves getting ill. It would make sense that happy and healthy wolves got ill less than malnourished and unhappy ones.

I’m still open to opinions, but today I’m pretty confident that this is typical and I’m ready to get some SC off all these cures and herbs I’ve stored. Thanks for your input!

First time ever experiencing this type of spontaneous event this morning— love to see it! My herbalist finally has something to do!

...how ironic it happened shortly after posting this. ROFL
