Can't get lunar essence?

I don't know if this should go here or under bugs, but since day before yesterday (3/2/21), I haven't been getting any lunar essence from exploring. I've explored in multiple biomes at all the different times of day (have also been exploring pretty frequently once energy gets up to 100%), but no matter what time it is in-game I'm getting nothing. Don't know if it's something I'm doing/not doing but it kinda kills the enjoyment of an event if you can't get any currency :/

Have you used it? I know you can't have more than 100 at a time.

Ah, you're right. I went back and checked the news post for the event and it more or less says that, but it really was not clear that you can only have a TOTAL of 100 essence AT A TIME, not that you can collect a hundred from exploring and have that add to your total amount in general. :/
