What's the best way to get amusement items?

I'm struggling to find amusement items lol. I'm still very new at this game so forgive me if this is a dumb question, but what's the best way to earn them? I know you can get some feathers through exploring and I think (?) you can buy them but I'm having a lot of trouble finding any.

You can buy amusement uses from other players on the TC for, usually, better deals than the raccoon. You can get lots through explore encounters, but if you're having bad luck with that you can also send scouts to rescout anywhere that's already been 100% scouted. They'll come back with two amusement items.

Also, if you have the Tundra unlocked, I tend to get a ton of amusement items from my trips there- lots of feathers and what not that have 5-6 uses. It's typically where I go if I'm ever running low! If you don't have it unlocked though, then yes, the TC and rescouting are definitely advantageous.
