Need Some Basic Guidance I Guess

I literally joined yesterday so I know there's not a lot I can do yet I just want to make sure I'm on the right track. 

I'm scouting and hunting as much as possible, I figure trying to get party synergy up when I only have a few hunter wolves to work with is pointless. 

Also trying to keep my Queen exploring as well when I have energy though I don't have much for healing. Trying to complete my daily quest today has been a struggle without much hp. Will I be able to make healing items once I get the herbalist unlocked?

I've already added I think 2 slots to my pack and have been befriending random wolves I find exploring. Not sure at all if that's the right thing to do or if I should wait and try to get wolves from players.

Fishing has already taken up a lot of my time and I managed to get on the leaderboard for some fish which is nice. Are the other games worth it? 

What other things should I be looking into and/or working on?

I wouldn't say getting hunting synergy up is pointless, but there is a cap on it if you don't have a full five wolves. Just make sure your team all have compatible personalities (check this guide or others like it if you're not sure) and you should be fine.

I mostly let my lead heal via random explore encounters, but that does mean less battling. You can buy healing salves on the TC if you have any SC to spare, or find them by inspecting the pool (an explore encounter). Your herbalist will be able to make healing salves once the role is unlocked.

Whether you want to buy wolves is up to what you want to do with your pack - if you don't have a goal in mind I'd suggest continuing to befriend wolves in explore for now, that way you're not out any SC if you change your mind about liking how one of them looks. They won't have great stats, but that's not a big deal while you're just starting out.

The fishing game is probably the most worth it - the anthro wardrobe is just for fun/aesthetics, and the lottery and slots are games of chance which cost SC. You can get pretty good prizes from the slot game though.

Hunting is probably the most important thing, and where many players start to see problems. Thankfully, today is the first day of spring, so you have a while before winter rolls around again and makes successful hunts harder. Take advantage of that to get your hunting team filled up and start improving their stats.

I'm still looking around and I think I'll wait until I get to a higher level and can get some chased wolves and replace a few instead of trying to buy wolves from players right now. 

I'm going to focus on my hunting team for now and look at the personalities to see what I can change.
