Thank goodness for the "potential" update. I was scared about going through all my pups to change their status lol

Also yes gene the bat is very cute and i hope hes having a nice time lol

that would explain the notification of all my puppies not having a 100% chance of survival.

I'm honestly really happy about this update, and it feels a LITTLE bit like wanting to have your cake and eat it too to complain about The State of The Market or The Crashing Value of Muties and then ALSO complain about Gene? One mutant (or carrier) stud can produce thousands of potentially mutated or carrier puppies, and thanks to low pass rates, that means folks produce tons and tons and tons of puppies with dismally low odds of being a carrier, are able to advertise All of those puppies with the same quantum-value of "POTENTIAL (; " carriers, flood the market with more puppies with little conventional value (puppies, mind! That, under the old system! Had to occupy server space for 12 real-world days with an aging crystals or 24 days without! Before you could even try and check!), bear heavy reluctance to Chase any of those huge amounts of puppies (because what if That One was a carrier!!), all because! Yep! The investment cost to see if a wolf is a carrier FELT small, because sometimes you'd get lucky and pull the mutie scry on the first roll. Even tho the material investment cost of raising wolves to one year (or age crystalling them) was sapping SC from you the whole time!

Human brains don't deal with statistical uncertainty well at all, being able to Certify carrier/non frees us all from the "okay but maybe i was just improbably unlucky" torment of scry-checking, frees up server space, discourages scattershot "breeding a crapton of PMC/PACs until the stars align"-type breeding, did I mention 100% CONFIRMS status (while i'm unaware of a specific incident, can we PLEASE be honest with how shockingly easy it'd be to fake a screencap of a scry result and pass off a failure to reproduce the scry/get mutie offspring as ~unusually bad luck~, like), and frees up the scrying tool for its *actual original purpose*.

Idk. Like lol yeah, it's more expensive, but i'll happily pay more for a certificate of authenticity. Only positive if it makes people stop overproducing pups with the logic of "well if they're not muties I can sell them as P_Cs and recoup (:< " 

I don't like the bat update, too expensive.

And I hate the hunt update. I expand my pack because my hunting teams(100% 500+/600+) finally caugh enough to feed everyone. Today I barely catch 3 Medium pray, if it's this in a Medium Biome, I will need to move back to an Easy Biome and have to chase more than half my pack if it's not better.

@Act 🌿🦌🍄 Thank you! I think you explained much better than I have been trying to. I may have to eat my words if the markets don't improve over the coming days/weeks but I am hopeful this is the outcome we'll see.
