Gold star next to wolf when befriending?

I recently befriended a wolf and it has a gold star to the left upper corner when there purple shooting star normally would be for a chased wolf. What does this mean?

Hello! This means your wolf has a exclusive trait, like a marking, eye color, or base! :D 

Edit: some exclusives I can remember off the top of my head are marks shaded and points, glass eyes, dravite, russet, sky, ebony... There is plenty exclusive bases you could find aside from the listed! 

Additionally, the more stars a wolf has, the more exclusive traits it has. A wolf could have a total of 5 special traits! The higher the level of your lead, the more likely you are going to find rarer wolves. Hope this helped! <3
