how do i use the sex changer?

i just started the game today and i wanted to know how exactly i use it and if it works from female to male 

not today uh i started 3 days ago but you get the idea

It works on either gender! You select it in your hoard, then choose the wolf you want to use it on. However, you can't use it on a lead wolf, a breeding male, or a wolf who has already been bred. :)
