I've always wondered but never really asked until now... Why do some people look for wolves with say, fleas or influenza or other various diseases? Does it have some sort of impact on breeding or is it related to something else? I'm genuinely curious. |

it's because wolves can only have one disease at a time, so if an entire hunting party has fleas, there's no chance of getting open wounds |

Oh okay, I suppose that makes sense but wouldn't having say 'influenza' be an issue? I thought influenza was deadly and contagious. |

Might be for culling pup populations. Might want to check the Grouse House Herbalism and Illness guide. |

Very morbid to kill off your pups instead of chasing/selling them lol (not that I really care. do whatcha want xD) |

Influenza is not lethal according to the Grouse House guide (you might be thinking of Infection, which is). Influenza drops a wolf's energy to 0, slows energy regen, makes a wolf lose -6 HP every rollover, prevents a wolf from breeding, and is highly contagious... I can't think of a positive use for it, but maybe some players want it for running experiments? |

Lore reasons? I've seen someone looking for distemper for lore. |

Going off what Briarwood said, I remember seeing a player looking for massive amounts of pups for infection rate data gathering, so that might be it. |
