Similar to the Immortal Jellyfish but temporary in the form of two items. Maybe a liquid or something? The first item will induce a sleep on your wolf that will last until the second item is applied (or even just use the same item a second time to reverse the effects.

Say you find the perfect mate for the Heir you just breed, but the new wolf is 3 years old and you wanna get as much pups from the pair as you can. You could put him/her into hibernation untill the pup grows up and gain an extra litter as she will remain 3 untill he is an adult.

Extra information:

- It could be SC instead of GC like the Jellyfish.

- Pups or Wolves 5+ Yrs - The mixture is very potent and the young and elderly are fragile. They run the risk of not waking up from hibernation.

- It is so strong that it can only be used once per wolf, even on the healthy adults, and if not awoken sooner, the wolf will naturally wake up after 1 year - 24 Rollovers (to prevent using this as an alternate to an immortal wolf)

- Maybe limit the amount of hibernating wolves in a den at any given time? (Or even give the item a cooldown)

i could see this being used by some players, but i dont know if i fully support this yet. maybe this could be an event item? i could very much see it in that context. its an interesting idea tho

I would LOVE to have an item like this. I had a wolf perfect to be my next lead born very early on in my pack, and I ended up having to retire my leader early so I could make the new wolf my lead before she was too old.

I was bummed to have to do this, because it killed off my old lead, and I didn't want that to happen either! so being able to keep my new lead in 'stasis' for a little while & be able to avoid killing of my old lead early would have been rlly nice.

I do think limits on it like you mention- only being able to use this item once per wolf, and I would suggest maybe only being able to have one hibernating wolf at a time- would be needed tho!

This would be very usefull since we aren*t allowed to have alt accounts here to freeze things. Support!

support

As Datrandomcat said, we can't have more than 1 account like on the sister site so this is indeed a useful idea :3

I also enjoy the idea of it being SC and Not GC <3

Yesss, we absolutely need an item like that! I lost count of how much offspring my lead has already had that I deemed fitting successor material in all but age...

What about a different cave.  A hibernation cave, where it freezes the wolves while they're in there, but they can be taken out, and placed on a cooldown where they can't go into another right away even if sold, but can go in again after the cooldown.  If you don't want it to replace making wolves immortal, make it cost more in GC than immortal slots to expand that cave, and keep them from being editable or dressable while they're hibernating.

If there was a cooldown instead of just a one-time-only item, someone could hibernate a pup they plan to make a lead, but can sell it if they change their minds and the new owner could still send it to hibernation if they want to after the cooldown ended,  Making them non-customizable while they're hibernating will keep them from being used as a replacement for immortality for keeping characters, and the higher cost will keep it from being used too much.

If they do cost extra, though, maybe make the first slot free or for SC/items.  Maybe make another Tala quest that builds the hibernation cave and gives you the first slot in a way that doesn't require GC?  Or maybe tie it in as some kind of mini-quest from the monthly moon events?  That way, players who only want it to hold a single heir can use it for just that, and those that decide they want to use it for bigger projects will have to plan paying for it into their plans without being at an extreme advantage over people who don't expand it.

Based on whats happened on this games sister game, im gonna have to do not support, at least for how the idea is as of now

Cryofreezing wolves arent good because of how easily exploitable they can be, however if it is more of a 1 use thing it also simultaneously becomes quite useless, barring a few fringe occasions(such as freezing a wolf to breed with your newly born wolf)

Possible ways to exploit it when its indefinite use:
---Freezing a wolf with high stats and only waking them up when you are prepared to train them like crazy/Breed them to another wolf, (in lioden, was used to hold spots on the leaderboard nearly indefinitely, which is not all that fun, atleast for the stat community)

this issue can be slightly mitigated by setting a cool down, but it still doesnt bar players from doing this, merely making it harder for them to do so

-----as timber said, theres the possibility it would just take the place of immortal slots, after all, why use the permanent one instead of the temporary freeze?
Such, this mechanic, if added cannot be a 1 time purchase type of thing, it has to be integrated as a sort of 'subscription' kinda like how FAPA is currently implemented, which brings in the issue of too much pay to win, which im not too sure how to deal with other than adding an sc option to this 'freeze subscription' as well

side note:
Im also pretty sure, the whole reason WD doesnt have 2 accounts is to prevent a whole bunch of issues such as freezing to camp leaderboards that was used quite a lot on their other game,

im down for a freeze mechanic, but only if its introduced in a way that barrs it from being used in exploitive ways(which is honestly easier said than done) or just near completely useless, adding to unneccesary clutter of the game
