Anyone else think Befriended wolf cooldown should be shorter?

Honestly yeah as Robin said the chances of finding a wolf to befriend seem pretty low. I just spent 3 entire energy bars and didn't find a single befriendable wolf. Everyone says that the cooldown means you should be choosy but then at the same time you find so few wolves you can't even afford to be choosy about claiming them. And you can't properly play the game until you have enough wolves to do different tasks.

Hmm, I just thought of this, but maybe once you start your account you should get a limited amount of chase cooldown skips? I'm not sure exactly how many, but maybe the maximum number of wolves you would theoretically have to claim to complete the beginner quests.

I don't know if it should also go to already registered players, or just new accounts since people who registered on day one have already had the rollover, but I feel like people might then say it's not fair. Man we really need a suggestions board.

We really do, I know they haven't made a suggestions board yet because they're concerned about people suggesting things they're already planning but it'd be nice to be able to let staff know how we feel about certain thinks already in effect. Honestly I think as you suggested if they won't lower cooldown then maybe 5 chase cooldown skips would be nice (the original max number of wolves).

i feel the same!! it’s really annoying when a wolf (or several) take up space and i just want them gone, and getting territory this early on isn’t that easy : /

which is fine of course! i don’t mind the challenge, i just wish i could chase sooner than next rollover. i opted to not even try to befriend wolves who are lower level in encounters; it makes the process slower, but it might help me in the long run and get me higher statted wolves 0:

@3105 how can you see the level of a wolf you encounter? I can only see their personality, am I missing something? :)

Before you befriend the wolf you have the option to fight them, which shows the wolf's level and gives you an idea of the stat range you can expect.

Oh I have completely missed that, thanks for pointing it out!

I fully agree that cooldowns should be lowered. I've gotten all duds so far and i'd like to be able to keep my options open for when i explore next time.

I would love a shorter cooldown but don't particularly mind the longer one. I claimed a lot of wolves to fill hunting party slots and scout and pupsit but I can always replace them later when I find better ones and until then I have hunters and scouts and pupsitters. Then by the time I find new ones these guys will be off cooldown.
