🎏 Hello! 🎏

 Welcome to my personal Koi Pupper project page! I've found myself falling in love more and more with Merle wolves— specifically, wolves that remind me of Koi Fish. ❤ I just adore them to bits; I've always wanted a Koi Pond, but since that dream is pretty far off— y'know, why not project that love onto some pixel wolves that have absolutely no similarities to said fish except for spots and maybe teeth? Sounds good to me! And so, I'm making a slow move to translate my den into a mostly Koi Pupper den, save for my lead... and some guilty pleasure buys. But! I think this will be a fun project to keep me around while Wolvden does its thing with some of these new updates, and maybe spread around a little bit of Koi Pupper love~

I bought Shimmer, who was bred by a very nice breeder; with high stats, and a gorgeous look, I just adore this boy! Everything about him matches perfectly; he's just so fancy. Look at those little speckles. What a good kiddo.

🎏 What Makes a Koi Pupper? 🎏

 Indeed, not all Koi look the same! Wolvden has such a wide variety of colours, markings, and bases— that I honestly think it would be a darn shame to leave any specific bases or gradients out of the "Koi Pupper" pool, just because it didn't fall into a particular category, y'know? I have some Merle pups who are just, *chef's kiss*, but they don't quite fall into the "True Koi" category— so, the following is how I'll personally be categorizing my Koi Puppers for ultimate Koi Pupper fun.

🎏 True Koi 🎏

🎏 Examples 🎏

A "True Koi" would most closely resemble its real-life counterpart. Does it match exactly? No, it's a wolf after all— but all things considered, you're pretty darn close with those colours, pupper! It's essentially just a fancy word for, "look like actual koi, very nice".

○ Similar Colours — Most Commonly Black, White, Orange, Yellow
○ Dominant, High Opacity Merle { Exception: White/Black Under Markings }
○ Markings similar in Colour to its Counterpart

🎏 Examples 🎏

This is the fun one! A Fancy Koi just doesn't look like a real koi; but, y'know, it could be if Koi got real crazy. Point is, IF it were a Koi, yes, I would want it swimming around in my Koi pond, thank you very much. The most common trait a Fancy Koi needs to have is:

○ Dominant, High Opacity Merle { Exception: Dominant White/Black Under Markings}
○ Wildcard otherwise, go bonkers on those beneath the merle markings.

🎏 Heterochromatic Koi 🎏

One of my current goals is to breed a koi wolf with Heterochromatic Eyes of the Black/White variety! I'm a big fan of the gene, and have tried to breed for it a few times, to no avail. This will most likely be a short term goal, since I don't expect it to take a terribly long time! Maybe! RNG, be merciful?

Bumble, one of my first hunting wolves, has been bred to a white-eyed merle stud, in the hopes of breeding a heterochromic koi heir from her! I know she's not a koi, but she's a good girl, and I'm very fond of her. <3

Chased NBW's are a thing, and I'd like to find one that looks like a Koi! I have next to no luck with Chased NBW's, but so long as I keep exploring, it has to happen sometime... Right? Maybe tomorrow, maybe like... three years from now?

🎏 Clean, High-Stat Kois 🎏

This is my big project! Starting from a Generation One Koi, I'd like to breed down a line of high-stat, clean-lined Koi Puppers from scratch that will eventually haunt the leaderboard. This one will take a while, and some planning, and a ton of time. So it's here. :)

🎏 TIII G1 Fox Koi 🎏

Instead of breeding for a fox koi— I think I want to long-term hunt for the ingredients, instead. G1 Fox Koi! It'll be a trip, but I'm here to occupy myself long term anyways, so! I intend to buy or battle for these ingredients myself. <3

Those Koi who don't quite fit my taste will be raised & chased, if not sold, to help put some interesting puppers out there in the chase pool for others to encounter! <3

🎏 Lethal Mutation Koi Pupper 🎏

This one might be a little hard to do! I'm not very well educated on lethal mutations, but I'd like to give it a shot. This one requires a lot of studying, luck, and some LF/VLF females for higher chance, as far as I know!

🎏 Albino/Melanistic Koi Pupper 🎏

I think this would just be fun, honestly! I've never bred an albino/melanistic pup, but I'd like to make it a merle pupper if I can. Just for the fun of it! Maybe starting from a first gen pup, again? Could connect it to the high stat project! Maybe!

Oh my, they're so beautiful! :'D I just adore them! <33 I love when there's a slight gradient underneath the Merle, I think it's just so pretty.

This is a really cool project! I'd love to help you out- I have 2 or 3 pretty good pupsitters for those Koibabies. That is, of course, when some of my "Protect at all costs" pups grow up and I have open sitters.
