I'm new and have some questions 😅

Hey everyone,

I've joined this game 2 Rollovers ago and, if I dare say so myself, I think I'm doing okay for a newbie. If read through some topics and there are a few questions I could not find an answer for:

1. How do I get access to the herbalist (and what can I do there)?

2. What's the fuss about foxes on here?

From what I've gathered you can craft them? The items are pretty expensive and therefore most likely rare... so of course I want to get some 😂  mostly to sell them to get SC or maybe even GC.. So maybe 2.1 would be: where do I get Fox Items?

3. What's a good investment? So far I've only spend SC on a few cheap Wolfes and on another slot for an adult wolf. I'd like to purchase more space for adults next, but I'm not sure that's the smarties move.. opinions?

Any tips that might be helpful are highly appreciated as well! Sorry if it's so many questions, I hope they are not too hard to answer

1. The herbalist quest will unlock after 5 days. Tala will walk you through how to assign a herbalist and have them diagnose and cure diseases. Your wolves will be immune until then, so just hold on to any herbs you find so you'll be ready to start making cures. And try to get space for a wolf who can be your new herbalist.

2. The Fox base is a new Tier 3 base, and was the first T3 available on the site. You can craft an applicator for it out of fox parts - which, as you've seen, are hard to get. They're trophy items, which you'll start being able to get from battles once you're level 10. Trophy items only drop from enemies no more than 5 levels below your own.

3. Slots are your number 1 priority at the beginning. I recommend enough for 5 hunters, 1 scout, 1 herbalist, and at least one pupsitter (more if you plan to do lots of breeding). So at least 8 to begin with.

The best way to get SC this early on is just by doing your daily quests. I sell spare toys and food on the TC, but you don't want to start doing that until you're confident you know how much you need to keep in your hoard. Unless you're more of a risk taker than me, in which case have at.

If you're not big on battling you can make GC from the Trade Center too - healing salves and lucky feet will both net you 1GC for every 4.

Hope that helps! Feel free to message me if you need clarification or have any other questions.

Hi, and welcome to the game! I'm glad you're having fun and doing well for yourself. I'll help you out with your questions. Feel free to friend me if you'd like or ask me other questions.

1. Herbalist will be unlocked for you on your fourth rollover. You will have a brief tutorial on it just like on your first day. The herbalist can only be filled by a single wolf (you'll want someone with a high wisdom stat). You can send your wolf off for an hour and upon returning they will bring back 1-2 herbs. What type of herbs they bring back depends on what territory you're living in. This is also when the game will introduce illnesses to you. Your wolves will be able to get ticks, infections, pox, and wounds from hunting. Your herbalist can study and craft medicines to help keep your pack healthy. While some illnesses may not harm your pack in the long run, some can be deadly, or prevent your hunters from going out to hunt. It can also be a good way to make extra sc or gc as you can sell these medicines.

2. The fox base and eyes are popular as it is quite new, dropped in a few weeks ago with an update. It's one of the only ways to get a TIII base without breeding as you can craft the base with fox items. The fox base also looks really pretty and there are a lot of folks on here who like foxes as much as they do wolves. In order to get fox items you must fight foxes who have a low chance as dropping fox tails, pelts, canine claws, or fangs. All creatures you fight in encounter have a chance to drop trophies, however, your wolf must be at level 10 before foes will start to drop trophies. At that point only foes above your level or five levels below you will drop trophies.

3. As for a good investment, I'd say early on it would be a good idea to have at minimum 9 slots for adult wolves. This way you can have 1 herbalist, 5 hunters, 2 scouts, and 1 pupsitter (pupsitter optional if you aren't going to be breeding early on). Having a good hunting team is invaluable as they will be your main source of income. Food can either be sold at the racoon (I tend to sell my meat chunks there) or in the Trading Center. After that I suppose it depends on what your goal is for the game. If you're looking to breed certain bases or markings you'll likely want to spend money on more cave slots, wolves, and studding. I'm really into making my wolves look nice so I like to save my money to buy decors.
