bad rma marking advice?

bad rma marking advice?

Hey all! I finally decided on a breeding male (my lead wolf, Shade) and threw an RMA on him... Well, I got an RMA-exclusive, but I hate it. His vibe is supposed to be shadowy/monochrome... and... here he is before:

and after:

as you can see... not exactly what I'm going for!! my question is: is there any point lowering it to 1% opacity? or at that point should I just yeet it off completely? I also have a regular marking applicator so if there's any black/gray markings that will cover up the yellow, I'm open to suggestions!!

If it was me, I would remove it.

Lowering its opacity to 1% would make it invisible, but it would still be there, ready to pop up on puppies when your female has a marking with high opacity in that same slot. I don't remember exactly the guessed formula for how opacity works during breeding, but if on the other side there is a high opacity marking, there is the chance that your unwanted marks will get a visible opacity on pups and sometimes that can ruins litters.

I have a female with 2 low opacity beige markings that I don't like. I'm more a monochrome breeder than a brownish/yellow marking type so those beige are not in my vibes. And on her last litter (she was bred to a stud with all 100% opacity markings) I had these beige come out in a pretty ugly way. Good pups ruined by unwanted marks...

Covering it could save you the price of a marking remover, but again, it will still be there...

@PiffleLovesBaseball thank you for your advice!!

while it would still be there, I was thinking along the lines of 1) the marking maybe looking good on pups and 2) whether people would be more interested in stud requesting him if he has an RMA. personally I also much prefer monochrome wolves but I figure it will be quite hard to get an RMA that fits his monochrome vibe so I wasn't sure if I was just being TOO picky... and I wasn't necessarily going to breed him to other monochrome wolves? idk

I personally would keep the marking at 1%. It can then pass on to his offspring and you never now, that marking might look great on a pup of his. :)
