awwoooooo!! šŸŗ what are the best selling traits in wolves? ANSWERED

hi! maybe itā€™s me, but i feel like itā€™s been way harder to sell my wolves ever since the tier 3 base fox was released. obvs not complaining, bc iā€™m excited for all these tier 3 bases weā€™re seeing now! i more so just want to get an idea of whatā€™s selling/ways to clear out wolves without chasing them. iā€™ve noticed tier II pups with 300+ stats are way cheaper than they used to be, many less than 100sc. iā€™ve been selling my own wolves, usually pups with less than 300 stats, for dirt cheap. i had some that were pretty with an average of 250st, nothing super unique otherwise, that i ended up having to chase. chasing, unless theyā€™re just awful lmao, feels like a waste, even if they can be rediscovered. and they were being sold for 10sc each, which i thought would be helpful for new players. the tier IIā€™s eventually sell at the same price but itā€™s very slow going. i bump my trades several times a day.

making sc from sales would be nice, as iā€™m trying to increase my territory slots for future breeding projects. but right now i just need to keep my cave slots open! and again, iā€™d love to provide cheap wolves for new players getting started. iā€™m also hoping to get more stud requests, but iā€™m not sure he has any traits that stand out to people, despite him being fully customized. i havenā€™t had much luck there either.

what traits, aside from mutations and tier III bases, are more desirable? do folks look for stats only if theyā€™re shooting for the leaderboards? do stats even make a difference in the various roles? it might just be because RNGā€™s are demonic, but sometimes my lead gets her ass kicked from low level encounters, such as the foxes that iā€™m farming mats from. maybe itā€™s just me having rotten luck in sales and battling and there is really no explanation. but thanks for listening to my ramblings! i have a head injury; hopefully everything comes across clearly! šŸ˜.

I'm afraid right now there are so many pups on the market that even good ones end up selling for cheap. At the beginning, Tier 2 and 300+ pups were "rare", but as the game progress and more players breed more pups, what was rare yesterday become common today.

High stats now means 500/600 and tiers 3 are now more appealing than tiers 2, so it's quite normal that you are having troubles selling normal pups.

I'm afraid that it's really hard to make a profit just by selling pups (same with studding, there is a lot of competition) unless you breed muties/T3 or high stats that sell for high prices. I have a flatsales thread and I manage to sell half of the pups I put out there, but not for much and I don't even try to get rich with that (it's more the pleasure of having my pups go to other packs than anything)

It also depends on how people play the game... I breed for appearence, so I don't care much about stats. Others play the other way around, caring only about stats and not appearance. And there are always "trends" of the moments based on what is new or on what it seems to be popular in that soecific moment.

StatsĀ doĀ make a difference, especially in hunting. More difficult biomes need high statted wolves to be successful in hunting, so that's one if the reason even thise not interested in the leaderboard might want high stat pups. Not sure about battling, but I think that in general, it makes you feel good to have a high statted wolf.

If your goal is to increase your territory, so you need SC, I would try different things than breeding and pups selling. Like selling extra amusement items or bundles of food on TC. Lucky feet and healing salves seem to always sell easily on the market, so you could try also that.

I am so glad someone asked this question. Being new to this place doesn't help, I was making an assumption (mistakenly) that higher stats is what folks would want in a wolf. Now that I am reading about the color tiers and looking at my own wolves...bahahahaha I got stats, but nothing aside from that.Ā

I guess a lot also depends on the color preferences as well. I seem to like the wolves that don't have tier 2 or 3 coloring, but do look unique in other ways.Ā

Figuring I'll be making money some other way, not by selling the wolves in here for now at least. :)
