Add Value to Traits beyond Breeding

Add Value to Traits beyond Breeding

Plain traits have 0 value, none whatsoever. That's part of why new players cannot sell anything, even if they can get stats up to a okay degree, unless you're lucky enough to breed a special trait in, your wolves will be worth less if they're worth anything at all. I believe that immersive mechanics applied to the game can change this.

If we at the very least had quests that involved giving up pups with certain traits or something of the like, then I think we'll see some improvement on the market there. However, there's other ways we can bring in benefits to plain traits as well. Obviously one of the known benefits is that you can get combo marks from certain plain traits, and that's great! But, I'm thinking something that actually can affect your gameplay.

For example, if your pack resides in say the Glacier, then maybe having bright red wolves trying to hunt would be a detriment. I mean, hey, it's a sheet of ice, I'm thinking the light colored wolves would be the ones that didn't get seen from miles away. Or maybe Albino wolves don't hunt well outside of Glacier/Tundra biomes and/or winter because their stark white pelt would give them away. Just a example, again I'm not entirely sure how to implement this fully, it's absolutely something we'd have to build off of, but it's a idea. I'm not thinking of anything super hardcore either, just little tweaks of that sort so there was more consider than just what's rare right now.

While I see why this would be interesting, it'd have to force users to either change their hunters to live in a certain area, or be forced to live somewhere else for better hunting. While yes, there is the option of just toughing it out, I think that it shouldn't be implemented because it could be restricting.
