Badgerstar
[ Warrior Name: Badgertooth ]

[ B A S I C ]

Age: 60 Moons

Gender: Tom

Clan: Oakclan

Rank: Leader

[ P H Y S I C A L ]

Fur Color/Pattern: Black, Tuxedo Markings

Eye Color: Amber

Overall:
Badgerstar is a fairly stocky and hefty-built cat; he's not particularly tall, but what he lacks in height he makes up for in stature and strength. His fur is thick, but well taken care of; while most scars from previous battles have been hidden beneath his fur, the most prominent reminders are on his nose, chin, and torn ears. He appears to have been born with an overbite, causing him to have upper teeth that peek out from beneath his maw; he also possesses a short, almost bunny-like tail.

[ A B O U T ]

Personality:
Badgerstar appears to be a calm, but somewhat grumpy soul. Years of fighting and leading seem to have shaped the once fiery warrior into a quieter, less aggressive version of himself. He does, however, continue to possess a fairly intimidating aura on first glance— what with his hefty appearance and naturally scowling expression doing absolutely no favours to his grumbling tone. It's no surprise that kits are often taken aback by him.

While Badgerstar has indeed mellowed out in his age, echoes of his past behaviour can occasionally be witnessed when his patience begins to run thin. Even now, he is still driven by emotion more than logic during times of stress. Underneath it all, however, Badgerstar has great fondness for his clan; there's no question that he seeks to let Oakclan thrive. But he is awful at expressing this, keeping a slight distance between himself and his warriors. Most attempts to be genuine can turn out awkward, as Badgerstar was never really one for words.

Backstory:
He was born as Badgerkit many moons ago to the queen Nightheart and the warrior Rockclaw during a particularly rough leaf-bare; and would be the only kit out of the litter to recover from an early onset of illness that swept the nursery. As a result, Nightheart was fairly protective of her troublesome kit; and Badgerkit did nothing to calm her nerves. Prone to sneaking out of camp, he was brought home by the scruff of his neck by bemused or irritated patrols more than once. During one secret romp before dawn, Badgerkit returned to camp battered and missing a hefty chunk of his tail. Badgerkit was able to recover, and claimed to have been attacked by a fox; he claims that he was able to fight it off, but lost his tail in the process. While no one witnessed the event, this is likely very untrue for a wide number of reasons; not limited to, but including the lack of fox evidence ever being found on the territory. However, Badgerstar has continued to tell this story about his tail throughout his life— with little bits of the story changing each time it's told. The real reason for his missing tail remains up in the air.

His apprenticeship flashed by with little eventfulness; however, as he graduated into a warrior, Badgertooth, his aggression and ambition took a new turn. While he achieved several good deeds as a warrior, he is matched by an equal amount of unfortunate events and rushed choices, including taking the blame for an accidental death of a newly named Pineclan warrior after a patrol skirmish— leaving his name in bad taste with several of Pineclan's members for the accident. Despite this, Badgertooth was eventually named deputy in Oakclan, and would rise to leadership after the death of Finchstar, who he appeared to be close to before his death.

Now Badgerstar, he has managed to cool his temper for the sake of leading his clan, and does show remorse over his aggression in the past. He sometimes appears to be caught up in troubled thoughts during quiet moments, and is particularly strict on apprentices and warriors that remind him of himself.

[ N A M E ]

Onesight
Onepaw / Brindlepaw / Brindlekit

[ B A S I C ]

  • Age:  35 Moons
  • Gender: Female
  • Clan: Oakclan
  • Rank: Medicine Cat

[ P H Y S I C A L ]

  • Fur Color/Pattern: Brownish red tabby with rosettes instead of stripes
  • Eye Color: Deep forest green
  • Overall

[ A B O U T ]

  • PersonalityA soft spoken cat with a gentle demeanor, Brindle is comforting and soothing. She is very attentive to detail and very clear-headed even in tough times. She is humble, forgiving and even a bit gullible. Onesight can often seem numb on the outside, but it never is there for long. On the other side, this numbness can harden into stubbornness. She can be hypocritical at times. She forgets to take care of herself, but will chastise others when they slack on their own care. Onesight is also a bit fussy at times with the cats she cares for, raising her voice ever so slightly and baring her teeth. Business comes first to this cat. She often tilts her head to look at the other Clan members around her. The she-cat is also very nervous at first when meeting new cats, but opens up right away. Her ears are often swiveling about her head, trying to compensate for her lack of eye sight. This she-cat is talented in storytelling, keeping secrets, and smooth talking her way out of things.
  • Backstory: Born into a warm and loving family, Onesight’s kithood was a simple one. Her father loved his daughter in his late age and often they would be found talking under the moon until the sun rose. She grew up alongside her siblings at a distance, not knowing them well. Her mother was loving and always there for her in the times that her father must go. Brindle always ached and cried to her mother about how she missed him dearly.

One day in the beginning days of her warrior apprenticeship, she followed her father to the edge of the camp and watched him set off with the patrol, but she was distracted. A nest of baby birds was in a tree nearby, and that had captured all of her attention. The small beast climbed the tree to reach the high branch of the nest. Sticking her head a bit too far in, the mother Kestrels sitting with her young went for her eyes. It ripped into her face. With all her might, the small ball of brown fur tried to fight off the falcon with a blood dripping down her battered muzzle. Screaming like the wild animal she was, her father came to the rescue. He quickly scaled the tree and stole back his baby. She was taken to the Medicine cat and that was the beginning of her love herbs and healing. She was also given a new name.

Brindle was patched up from the accident, leaving her blind in one eye. Sorrowful and infected, she stayed in the medicine den until she was fully healed. Antsy and anxious to be doing nothing, she began to help. She was soon attached to the Medicine cat like they were her family. Her apprenticeship of becoming a warrior was shifted to medicine very quickly, as she helped out and served as a wonderful acolyte of medicine. Without her right eye, her warriorship would have suffered, leaving her useless in hunting. Brindle worked hard and long to impress her mentor, making up for what she could not do without her eye. She was forever grateful for their help.

Brindleflower’s mentor quickly left this world, leaving her alone. She stepped into the position of Medicine cat, nervous but prepared. She had listened to their words with care and knew what to do, even for such a young medicine cat.

[ N A M E ]

Specklestar
Speckleback / Specklepaw

[ B A S I C ]

  • Age: 34 Moons
  • Gender: Male
  • Clan: Pineclan
  • Rank: Leader

[ P H Y S I C A L ]

  • Fur Color/Pattern: Orange tabby stripes with black spots
  • Eye Color: Green eyes
  • Overall: Small orange shorthaired tom with a brown muzzle and black spots.

[ A B O U T ]

  • Personality: Specklestar is a sarcastic politician with a habit of talking over others. He has a booming laugh and a husky voice. He could be called kind, if it weren't for his nasty attitude and love of fighting. Easily soured, this tom is often found prowling around his camp looking for a spar.
  • Backstory: Speckle was born to a mother of six kits and an absent father, who left before he was born. Kithood was a fight for attention. He, being the runt of the little, often was yelling and scraping for anything he could get. His mother loved all her kits equally, but he wouldn't have it. He cried and cried until she cuddled him alone in the nursery, while the others played in the sunshine that glimmered through the thick piney forest.

Exhausted and tired, his mother soon passed away leaving him with his five siblings. A local queen took over as the ruler of the litter. The queen was short and to the point, not having Speckle's need for attention. She was not kind to the runt of a  tom, rejecting him soon after adopting the others. He was taken by the Elders into their den and was cared for. He listened to their stories with great wonder, calming down with their love and attention! They told him of the many battles they faced and about Starclan. Speckle was amazed and desired to become a strong warrior one day.

His apprenticeship was smooth, except he bickered often with his mentor, twisting their words. He would work his way out of being in trouble for leaving lessons and playing with his friends. One day, after catching prey for the Clan, he sat down and feed himself before anyone else. He purred so happily to eat the freshly killed rabbit, so loud his mentor came up behind him without him noticing. Busted, Speckle explained to his mentor that he was to whatever he wanted, as the Elders already loved him. He had their blessing, he explained. The failing story lead him to the leader, where he quickly learned to be a better cat. A tough lesson ensued; cleaning up after the Clan, kit-sitting for the Queens, waiting on the leader in the evenings. The young runt was to prove himself worthy, or be kicked from the Clan. His livelihood was being threatened and he would not have that. He worked hard to become a warrior, harder than his sibling would ever have to.

Growing into his long tail, Specklestar became a fierce warrior. His battle skills were amazing and he was soon appointed deputy. Had it not been for all that time as an apprentice working hard to prove himself, he wouldn't have been deputy. Many other cats were better fits, but his leader had spend time with the young cat and learned his skills. He was second in command with his sharp tongue and wit. Being deputy was enjoyable for the small tom, until his leader passed.

Coming into leadership, the tom had grand ideas for Pineclan. They were to take more territory for themselves and fight off the Oakclan with their Badgerstar. The young tom appointed his mentor as deputy and led with an iron paw, too eager for war.
