I beg of you, take care of the pups you're selling. Buying a pup you think looks cool/has nice stats only to find out they have horrific survival odds and are terribly starving is awful. It's almost like a cruel joke to play on your fellow players. |

I whole-heartedly second this. Once, I preclaimed a puppy, and when she was sent over to me her survival chance was only about 20%. Like, you knew this pup was going to someone. You couldn't make sure mom was fed and played with? Hell, I'd have helped out with food and toys if need be, or paid half her price up front or something! And the number of stories I've seen around of people buying pups and then losing them because they didn't have enough pupsitters or high enough proficiency sitters to keep the pup safe. Sometimes there's just bad luck, but if you, the seller, aren't bothering to feed the puppy you're selling and letting their survival chances drop each day then that's on you! It's one thing when it's adolescents - though I do think it's kind of rude to sell someone a nearly starved wolf - but puppies can be hard enough to keep safe as it is, without their chances being dropped due to lack of care. I've honestly been wishing for some way to search for pups with good survival or care in the TC, or a clan dedicated to people selling pups they're actually taking care of in the meantime. Right now it's just one more thing to have to check when looking to buy, and it can be very frustrating. |

Yeah, this can suck x-x I haven't lost any pups yet, mostly because I have multiple proficient pupsitters and I only buy a few pups at a time. I can't really blame players for not taking care of their puppies, though. Resources can be scarce, especially if you're starting out OR trying to manage a huge pack. So I understand the logic of listing pups on TC without caring for them and letting them die on a "timer". |
