Sex Changing a Previous Breeding Male

Sex Changing a Previous Breeding Male
Posted 2020-10-03 08:10:17

So, as I tend to do, I jumped the gun in assigning my breeding male and am now very much regretting it. I have the means to retire the male and assign a new one but I am also wanting to sex change the said wolf afterwards. I know that you cannot change the sex of your breeding male (of course) but can you do so if they are a /retired/ breeding male? This wolf has not been bred before and is not a lead wolf.

Thank you in advance!

I have not tried this, so do take this with a grain of salt.

Looking at the sex changer, it says you can't sex change bred wolves, your lead, or your breeding male. Nothing about past breeding males. But retiring a breeding male basically castrates him, so I don't think so? Trying to do so if it's not possible would cost a bunch of GC and would be a waste...

Thanks for your response! That's my fear - wasting the GC and ending up with an essentially useless custom male that I could've just kept as the breeding male but on the other hand I am also curious and impatient so I'm on the edge of acting as the guinea pig in this situation. I appreciate the thoughts on it, it certainly gives me something to think about...

I will continue to keep this thread open in hopes of hearing more feedback (or better yet, confirmation on whether it works/doesn't work).

I had considered that option but the Modbox does state to direct questions in regard to game play to the forums, thank you for the thought!

I think this one would be ok to modbox given as how most players probably havent tried it?

I went for it and answered my own question: Retiring your breeding male takes him out of the game entirely (AKA sent to your Dynasty) so the thought of sex changing is irrelevant as it is not possible.

An expensive lesson learned LOL thanks all!

No, this should not be the case. Retiring your breeding male is bugged so your retired the wolf, not his role. Which retire button you press?

I found one of the reports about the bug: https://www.wolvden.com/bug/288

Oh man, I definitely probably pressed the wrong button then! I pressed the "Retire" button located on his page, I imagine then there is a separate button on the actual page for assigning the breeding male. Goodness gracious, I should really think before I do.

EDIT: I definitely was a dope and just pressed the wrong "Retire" option.

Sorry to bring the bad news. You could try to modbox and see if they can do anything for you
