How many times can a wolf breed in its lifetime, without the use of items?

What age are they too old to breed?

I can't answer the first question, however the last possible time a female wolf can become pregnant is 7 years 2 months. so if her last heat comes after 7 years & 2 months, she won't have one at all

I tried to do some math, I'm still a touch burnt out from finals/the two weeks leading up to them but here goes!

Mathish version (short version below):
Assuming you're starting with a female that aged up to an adult, if they're bred on the first available day of their heat every time their heat comes around:
Bred 1y
Born 1y 2m - 1 litter
Cooldown ends 2y
Bred 2y
Born 2y 2m - 2 litters
Cooldown ends 3y
Bred 3y
[...]
Born 7y 2m - 7 litters

Assuming you're starting with a female NBW, if they're bred on the first available day of their heat every time their heat comes around:
Bred 1y 4m
Born 1y 6m - 1 litter
Cooldown ends 2y 4m
Bred 2y 4m
Born 2y 6m - 2 litters
Cooldown ends 3y 4m
Bred 3y 4m
[...]
Born 6y 6m - 6 litters
Breeding ends at 7y 2m
Cooldown ends 7y 4m

Pregnant for: 4 rollovers (2m)
Cooldown for: 20 rollovers (10m), starts the day the pups are born
Heat starts: every 12 rollovers (6m)

In short: a female that aged to an adult and has a heat cycle starting at 1 year can have 7 litters without any items.
A female NBW that has a heat cycle starting at 1y 4m can have 6 litters without any items.
