Luck stat

Hey! This isn't a fully fleshed out idea so suggestions and critique is much appreciated!

Luck Stat

I was thinking about adding a stat to wolf stats called "luck." Here's some notes on it!

- Luck has a small chance to change the outcome of certain activities, such as hunting, scouting and exploring.

- Luck is always the last stat to roll. If your wolves fail to bring down their prey in a hunt due to insufficient stats, the lead wolf's luck stat can roll to see if they manage to catch it last minute.

- Similarly, during exploring if you trigger an event that usually leads to either getting an item/carcass or getting nothing (for example, the Blue Jay Feather encounter) a wolf with a higher luck stat may have a slightly better chance of coming away with the item. Luck may also affect battles, in that a higher luck wolf might have a slightly higher chance of causing effects like bleeding.

- For scouting a wolf with higher luck might have a small chance of discovering slightly more about the area than normal, or have a small chance at bringing something back.

- You cannot level up luck. Whatever luck stat a wolf is born with, it has for the rest of it's life.

- You cannot breed for luck. Unlike with other stats, breeding two high luck wolves together doesn't affect the luck stat of the puppies. Luck is assigned randomly at birth/befriending.

- I imagine luck working differently to other stats in that the numbers are much lower (say maybe 1 to 5).  A wolf with 1 luck isn't "unlucky", it just doesn't get any boosts. A wolf with 5 luck may be lucky, but luck is still the last stat to roll, and only provides a small boost. I think giving it a cap is good as you can't then breed wolves with insane luck boosts.

If anything, I'd like to see luck as a VERY small quality of life boost, not something that majorly affects the game. Getting a lucky wolf should be seen as a small perk rather than something that can be sold for insane GB or something that puts others at a major disadvantage. The way I see it being used is similar to other stats: perhaps you'd rather assign one of your luckier wolves to be a hunter/scout, or maybe it's an added bonus if the wolf you want to be your next lead wolf happens to have a good luck stat for exploring. The boost can be something as little as 5% max, nothing that's actively sought after, but just a nice perk.

I like this idea! (That except it should be able to level up, that would be my one change).

There could be an item during events to level it up. Like increase +1 and they are very rare?

But I wouldn't want it to level up normally.
