Main recipe - https://www.theseasonedmom.com/roast-chicken/ sub lemon with juice

Sub Garlic with garlic salt

Frankenrecipe - spendwithpennies.com I skip pap and seasoning salt.

Remember using 2 sticks of butter, rosemary. I only use one serving of an ingredient, if the second recipe also has it.

it gives you a really flavorful chicken and drippings/broth that is so tasty and amazing you WILL crave it! However I have yet to find a way to get crispy chicken or fully cooked veg unless I cook the veg separate. Maybe you'll find a way to make the recipe better!

Great thread! I will share the recipe that is known in our household as Turfursturfur... Aka tofu stir fry haha. We are a silly family.

Anyways! Turfursturfur, best served on a Thursday so that it is TurfursturfurThursdur.

Ingredients:

1 floret and stem broccoli, chopped (bite sized)

1 bell pepper, chopped

Optional - may replace either of above for sliced mushrooms or chopped cabbage, or just add to increase portion sizes.

1 brick of firm or extra firm tofu (soft does not work for this)

1 cup white rice

1 1/2 cup water

1 to 2 TBSP corn starch plus 1/3 cup cold water

Sauce:

1/2 cup mirin

1/4 cup soy sauce

2 TBSP seasoned rice vinegar

1 to 2 TBSP minced garlic, to your preference

1 to 2 TBSP Sriracha, to your preference

1 tsp ginger paste, or about 1/2 tsp dry ginger powder

(Optional, after tasting sauce) 1 TBSP Honey, to taste

1. Take your tofu from the package, drain the water and put it on top of a clean towel/paper towels, cover it, and set something on top of it to press the liquid out. Leave it to press for 30 min to an hour. (Now is a great time to prep your veggies and set them aside, ideally separately.)

2. Preheat the oven to 325.

3. Cook your rice in the water.

4. While rice is cooking, slice the tofu into bite sized pieces, arrange onto a parchment paper-linrd cookie sheet. Spray them lightly with cooking spray and bake until golden at the edges, or until your remaining food is ready.

5. Mix all sauce ingredients together.

6. Begin heating a large pan on medium heat. Pour prepared sauce into the pan and allow to heat; meanwhile, mix in a separate cup your corn starch and water. Once the sauce is simmering, pour the corn starch mix in and stir continuously until it incorporates (or it will get lumpy).

7. Throw in your slowest cooking veggies first, cooking until just crunchy: cabbage, broccoli, mushroom, bell pepper. Once all veggies are in, take the tofu out and toss it into the pan. Mix everything and cover for just a minute or so. This step should take no more than 5minutes, you want your veggies crunchy.

8. Put rice in bowls and stir fry over it. Enjoy!
