Wow, this thread is too good to pass up. I shouldn't have looked at it while I was hungry...

Cooking & baking are some of my main hobbies too! Here is a really great recipe for a pumpkin swirl cheesecake I tried recently. I was too lazy didn't have the time to make the crust in the recipe so I used store bought pie crust instead, and that worked fine too! the recipe actually made enough filling to make two cheesecakes.

I don't know if it'll let me attach a picture, but... if you want to make it extra spooky, you can make a really basic jack-o-lantern face stencil with some scissors and paper! lay it on top of your cooled/set up cheesecake, and sprinkle some cocoa powder (I used a flour sifter for this)

@hircine That's so cute omg!!! I always manage to mess up when i try to stencil stuff on my pies so I know it can be tricky, and you did a great job!

@Den AWW thank you! I have definitely made a few pies less pretty with messy stenciling.. at least they still taste the same!!

These pie recipes are really good too:

  • this pear pie is like the easiest pie ever and doesn't take many ingredients. and you can substitute the pears for like any other fruit lol
  • chocolate chess pie - ive found that to get the texture perfect on this one you gotta add some corn meal and REALLY REALLY try to wait for it to chill overnight
  • garden vegetable pie - this one if my all time favorite thing to make for dinner... you can add p much any veggies you want in it. ive made it plenty of times with just tomatoes and UGH... so good

I made these oatmeal lemon cream bars a few times and they are insanely good

This cornbread casserole recipe is very good as well - it always takes longer for me to bake than it says, maybe because of my oven?

@hircine OHH I LOVE CHESS PIE! I've never had a chocolate version! I'll share the recipe I use too! It also has measurements for adding coconut if you're into that! Remember to use unsweetened because otherwise it's totally overwhelming

Ohh! Recipes~ Well I'm more of a baker so there's gonna be more baking stuff than cooking lol.

Milk Bread - This one is a favourite of mine but it does take time to make and you do have to be patient but it does taste amazing

Soufflé pancakes - I tried making these before and it's hard to get it perfect but pancakes are pancakes and it's great

Forest Porridge - I personally like soups, a lot and this is always a favourite of mine to do!

Pierogi - Polish Dumplings! They taste good and you can make it with almost anything in my experience, From potatoes to fish to even fruits!

In all honesty I have more recipes than this but I think these are the ones people should try the most :)

How would you feel about a Frankenstein roast chicken recipe?

I honestly forgot I made this thread, and now I’m stuck here at 12:03AM drooling over most— if not all of these recipes. How would y’all feel about a really simple roasted pumpkin seed recipe? I made them with my girlfriend last night and they’re to die for— a new addiction of mine, to be honest. I think they fit the theme, since Halloween is just around the corner!

Also, @Iceblink — Please share, my curiosity has peaked. 👀

Edit: I just thought I’d add the recipe now just in case anyone was interested, since I’m logging off for the night. Clicky! It’s a very simple recipe— pumpkin seeds seasoned with garlic powder, paprika, olive oil, and salt n pepper! They’re a lot better than I was expecting, though! ^^
