Lower the HP lost in hunting injuries

Lower the HP lost in hunting injuries

First off, let me give some specifics of my situation and what I'm finding:

- I run 2 hunting parties

- I do my best to max out the full 20 hunts every day that I roll over

I'm unsure where this puts me on the scale of average hunts completed per day by players, but I feel like I do a fair bit of hunting. This probably means the effect I'm seeing is worse than what most would see.

On to the issue: Every time a hunt is completed, there's a chance for wolves to sustain injuries that take away between 1-5 HP. This REALLY adds up when you're maxing out daily hunts, especially when your wolves get to higher levels and aren't leveling up fast enough to replenish their HP regularly.

I'm having to heal wolves before many of my hunts and I'm burning through healing salve at an alarming rate. Between this and needing salve for battles to keep leveling your lead, there's just too high a demand in the game for this item compared to how often you can find it while exploring (especially if you're burning energy on said battles).

My suggestions to help with this issue:

A) Reduce the HP cost of hunting injuries to 1-3, or just make 4-5 HP hits extremely rare

OR

B) Increase the chance of finding salve

OR

C) Make HP regenerate in higher amounts on rollover

Will edit with more info/ideas as I think of them!

Agree completely. The amount of HP hits after EVERY hunt, even on critter trails, are just ridiculous. When at least three of my 100% proficiency party are getting 3 to 5 HP injuries even when hunting grouse, it just becomes rather silly.

I agree as well. It was annoying to deal with before, but now that I try to exclusively hunt large trails, it's a constant issue that is frustrating to all heck. Shouldn't our wolves know what they're doing at 100% proficiency? I don't mind having some degree of HP loss since that's the nature of hunting, but why on Earth does every single wolf in a hunting party get gored by a deer every single time? As I saw someone say once, if hunting for real-life wolves went like this, every pack in the world would be dead in a week. It's just nonsensical.

A small HP regain per hour would be nice, but that's a different suggestion. At the very least, the HP loss should be dropped like your A suggestion, and I feel like it should be proficiency-based. If your wolves are professionals, they shouldn't be screwing up constantly. Like for large trails, it could go like this:

0-30% proficiency = 80% chance for 3-5 HP loss.

31-60% proficiency = 70% chance for 2-4 HP loss.

61-90% proficiency = 60% chance for 1-3 HP loss.

91-100% proficiency = 50% chance for 1-2 HP loss.

As for the smaller trails, they should be more favorable than these numbers.
