Make an Official Auction House / edit TC

Make an Official Auction House / edit TC

This is my first suggestion and this didn't already exist on the suggestion page so here it goes, but if this does secretly exist feel free to ignore me.

Anyway, Hello all, I see that auctions are a big part of the wolvden chatter, but they are so confusing to keep track of!

Auctions are basically organized by most recent based on the user bumping them since they are a forum post, and rely on the creator to take note of all the comments and edit their main post accordingly. This has many issues, including people getting confused on bids, inability to easily search for the types of wolves you want, the frequency of updating, and the inability to actually reliably end an auction on the decided time.

Sure, you CAN use the TC and the offer section to throw offers up and let the seller select their favorite offer for the wolf (I say wolf since most auctions if not all are for wolves), but I have not seen that? I think you could promote this with minimal coding  by making a button when you make a trade to 'automatically accept highest SC / GC offer by x date' and set a minimum reserve price and autobuy price just in case. In which case people would still advertise on the forum, but the actual bidding happens real time on the trade itself.

My other idea of how this would work is implement an actual wolf auction house. A subsection organized by date that allows you to bid like an actual auction. So you could search what type of wolf like the TC, but also know what auctions are expiring the soonest and have easy buttons like 'current bid = 10 SC, bid 20SC?' and like the TC already has you can only bid what you have. A lot of forum actions say they will blacklist you if you can't pay, but the only way to make sure you can pay is to put down the money as its happening.

Basically I think Wolvden could free up a lot of forum chatter and promote wolf sales by having an actual auction house even if it is just a TC expansion. The amount of coding necessary could range from building a 'duplicate TC' to just adding a bid / accept highest bid by x date button with organizing by date buttons on the TC.

Ah, I ramble a lot, but I hope this was clear? If not I'll clarify anything!

Thanks for considering my suggestion!

Support. This is a great idea! Would make things a lot more organized.

Verrrrry much agree with this! It would make things so much easier with auctioning, and likely save the server(s) from keeping up with tons of pages in the forum.
