Herbalist

Hello everyone!

I was wondering if when you switch herbalists, you lose all your known medicines along with them. I would hate to have to redo it but I'm getting to a point where I want to replace him in my pack.

yes, you do end up losing *all known recipes for medicines, so you’d have to learn them all over again.

*however, this doesn’t mean that you lose any herbs or medicines you already DO have! You only really lose the known stuffs and the little discount on diagnosing your wolves

Coming back to this, sorry, but I just switched my herbalist for a new one and I’ve lost some of the known recipes but not all of them - I think I went from 17 to 7?

did you get that wolf from someone else, @Bobbie? Even though a wolf’s Proficiency goes down when they are a herbalist, they can still “retain” knowledge of the recipes they’d learned before :)

No, I bred the wolf myself and he’s never left my pack.

I’d levelled him up beforehand though, so maybe wolves with higher levels can retain more knowledge. Or perhaps it’s decided by the lead wolf level, something similar to how the scouts work.
