[Spreadsheet] Stat Breeding Predictor (v 1.0)

[Spreadsheet] Stat Breeding Predictor (v 1.0)

Looking to breed for stats, but sick of having to do the math manually to predict what you'll get for every litter?
Me too! And as such, I made a sheet - with the blessings of Sol - to streamline things.

Puppy Stat Predictor
Version 1.0 - launched December 5th, 2020

To use:

Open up the sheet, and go to File > Make a Copy. Name your copy and save it wherever you see fit.
Input the father's and mother's stats in the labelled fields. You do not need to input stat totals - it autofills!
Puppy ranges will then autofill!

Min and Max represent the possible extremes. Most puppies can be expected to be closer to the Average.

Notes:

This uses Sol's formula, presented here. If you have any questions/input/etc. about the formula itself, please go there

As with using the formula manually, the following notes apply:
 - This doesn't account for largest puppies or runts.
- This uses stats at breeding.
- This is intended more as a rough prediction then anything.

Stat totals autofill to let you check if you accidentally mistyped a number - if the total doesn't match, there's an issue.

This sheet will be updated whenever Sol's formula updates. If there are any bugs, I'll also update to fix, but this is a fairly simple sheet, so I'm not expecting huge issues.

Thanks for this!! Do you know if anybody is working on a formula to get maximum potential stats once level 20 is reached? I've been trying to find smth but don't have enough data....

I don't know of any project for that, personally- although I would be interested to see results/would maybe be interested in making a sheet for that if a formula is found.

Apparently it's already been figured out (?)

"Each time a wolf levels up they get 2x the new level's stats, distributed randomly. So a wolf reaching level 4 gets 8 stats, level 10 is 20 stats, etc.

The variability comes in the "bonus" stats they can receive while doing their pack role. For example after hunting in the summary it will say something like "[Wolf] received +80 exp. +1 agility." I have also seen scouts gain stats according to the biome they (re)scout, and herbalists can get wisdom and smarts from making medicine (maybe foraging as well? I forgot). Lead wolves get bonus stats by battling."

Okay, neat!
I could probably make a sheet to predict max stats assuming like,,, level 20 visa pupsitting, but the variability may complicate things. I'll think about it.
