Glass Eyed female gave birth to three pups, 2 had glass eyes.

I'm breeding for glass eyes— or will be! To maximize stats my females are bred on their last two heats. I have two NBWs with glass eyes that I'm thinking of breeding once I can pair bond; they both have 0 markings, but if I get a pup with glass eyes it'd at least be good for diversity of lines. I'll probably try it once and see how bad the stats are.

I've also been collecting various glass-eyed pups. Some are related to glass-eyed studs but some aren't, bred from other studs out of female NBWs. This lil guy doesn't seem quite nice enough for a breeding male even with a base change/adding markings, but I do quite like him. I wonder if this guy could be sufficiently spruced up though, he's got solid starting stats! I just wish I liked merle, LOL.

@Levi the last 2 heats plan is such a good idea! ty for bringing that to my attention. i have such a hard time with impulse that i’m sure if i could dedicate time like that, my pups would be a lot better off! i think im gonna do that with my glass babs. ive been really working toward higher stats for glass eyes and this is a great idea!

I had this pup born a few days ago. She's going to replace her mum.

Whoever had her last bred her once and she had 4 pups, though I don't know the ratio of glass eyes

And recently I got this fox pup and souped him up! Casper/Ursa/Hanta lineage

@Lore: You have some really pretty wolves too! That fox boy is on fire (literally?), I hope he gives you some glass-eyed foxes someday!

And I kept meaning to mention this but as an addition to the last-two-heats system... if you're relying on pair-bonding at all, be sure to keep an eye on how many breedings you have for the month and when those last heats will fall so you don't get a traffic jam. I don't have enough wolves yet for that to be a problem but can see it's something to watch out for in the future. (Also I don't have enough nice wolves yet, LOL. I'll be doing a lot of outside breeding, I think.)
