Hot beavers = fast beavers?

Same here!! No beavers since the update :( I might have to train myself out of the habit of chasing them

I growl at them and I still don't get anything during the summer.

Same now that you mention it. I haven't caught a beaver in a while. 

I created a bug report for it.

I reported this as a potential bug and a fix attempt has been made. I have not yet successfully chased and caught a beaver since the fix attempt, but I have only seen 2 so I'm giving it more time.

If anyone on this thread catches a beaver, please mention it here or on the bug report here.

I found one in explore but the beaver got away- now I kinda hate beavers kdsfhsjfsfdhj

Agreeing with what Jack and AdmYrrek said. I've also noticed a considerable drop in my hunting party's performance since either the update release or summer began. Before they were succeeding in 8-10 hunts a day, but now, even at 100% synergy and proficiency, they're lucky if succeed in more than 4. I live in a starter biome as well.

Can't say anything about the beavers though. I haven't seen them at all in a while. Peccary from the desert is still plentiful as ever.

I've definitely been experiencing difficulty capturing beavers lately, around the same time as you all have mentioned so it could be the update. I previously suspected it might've been that my main hunting team's synergy and proficiency has been getting better therefore my chances to get food like beavers might've been lowered? But the similar accounts from everyone here makes me sure it has to be an update bug.
