Do lead wolfs have better pups?

So I have new pups  between my lead wolf and my stud. I read the marking guidelines were "(mother's opacity + father's opacity)/2 ± 10%"
so I am confused by my pups?

Mom + Dad

Pup 1

Pup 2

Pup 3

Pup 4

 All pups have higher opacity marks ? Can anyone help me understand?

as far as I can tell, all those markings match up with the formula pretty well! :D Is there a specific one you were concerned about? It goes specifically by slot, so for example Pup 2 that has the 77% opacity in slot 5 would be calculated 100 (Mom) + 46 (Dad) / 2. The formula is just speculation, but it's worked out pretty well! ^^

So does it not matter if they have the same mark? I thought  it was  % per mark not % in a slot no matter mark? ( sorry I am just confused)

Yep! it doesn't matter what the actual marking in the slot is, just what its opacity is :) If there's no marking, the opacity seems to be calculated as 0!
