Quest Levels

I made this suggestion in a random other forum and then considered that hey, this might be more benefitical not buried in a thread.

Its simple: Add levels to the daily quest that someone can pick from.

See, not everyone has time in the day to be doing 8 hunts or confident they can find and kill those bears, and those are significantly harder than bringing back some feathers. It seems like often people are just hoping RNG lands on fetch-quests over anything else, because those are so much easier to complete and there's really no pay out variation based on what you had to do.

Sooooo... split them up! At the start of every day that people can take a quest, they are given a choice between easy, medium or hard. The different levels have different payouts, but ultimately require more or less effort. This lets people with less time or less confidence roll exclusively within a pool of quests that shouldn't be that hard, while players who can be more active can go for the harder ones and maybe get a little more out of it.

Heres a mock breakdown, This really isn't the most thought out but hopefully at least gives an idea of how one might stagger the  quest types for select categories:

Easy: Fetch quest for fairly common items like starting biome herbs or feathers, or small common carcasses like rats or weasels. Hunt quests are only 1-2, or ask for small prey. Enemy kill requests target common enemies like wolves, coyotes or other enemies that you can easily find in most biomes. Payout it about 75-100 SC

Medium: Fetch quests for mostly common items with a single rarer or harder to get item, like a gull carcass. Hunt quests are 3-5, or for medium prey. Enemy quests can focus on somewhat more biome specific mobs like reptiles, cats, or birds, but only ask you to kill a few? Payout of anywhere between 100-200

Hard: Fetch quests can ask for anything and often request higher numbers. Hunt quests ask for 6-8 success or for you to take down large prey successfully. Enemy quests ask for you to take down more enemies. In return you can get a payout of 200-300 SC

The goal of this is really to give people a little more control over their daily quest based on where they are or what they can do. We only get one daily no matter what anyway, so It just lets you try and roll the RNG more in favor in what you want to do.

100% support! I like how Lioden's system is with their cub quests- you get a choice and more/less Monkey teeth depending on what you do.

Meanwhile the daily quest system doesn't offer this easy system. It would be really helpful for days where I'm camping or on vacation but still want to RO to get some daily tasks done and keep my streak.
