Posted 2020-11-15 11:45:43 (edited) #150936 i recently moved my pack from the mountains to the taiga, and since then ive only found critter trails while hunting. i know the taiga is substantially harder to hunt in, but my pack is at 99% synergy and other than one at 94% proficiency theyre all at 100% individually as well, so it seemed like it shouldnt be quite so bad? i was wondering if there might be a hidden "getting to know the territory" mechanic or something :0	wolftofu #13204

The types of trails your stalker can find depend not only on the synergy of the group, the difficulty of the biome and the skill of the stalker, but also on the stalker's statistics. It is possible that your stalker's stats are not enough for the taiga.

she is level 8, but she was also a NBW so she didnt start off from anywhere great xD; ah well, i guess my pack will dine on tiny creatures for the time being. thank you for the info!

When you move to the harder Biomes it gets more difficult to hunt. I went to Rainforest and have had same issue. I was getting large prey all the time, and now haven't seen anything but critter trails. That is normal. There is some helpful info in this guide
