:HardMode: Clan Thread

Hmm, I'd say hang on to your food and amusement items for now, or at least to enough of them to take care of your pack.
But you usually get enough amusement itens that you can sell off at least some of that.
Food is important right now, because hunting is slow and difficult at first - once you have a full hunting party it will get better and once your hunting party has some experience you'll egt lots of big carcasses and you can start selling some of those as well.

Definitely keep herbs, you will need a lot to craft medicine and you can also trade excess herbs at a 3:1 ratio for herbs that you don't get in your home biome.

Depending on how many Caves you want to start with, you can sell ecess cave crafting material.

If you don't battle a lot you can sell some healing salves, especially the big one from the beginning quest (though you might get a bit more than 75SC from other players). There are lots of axplore encounters that heal you or give you smaller healing salves. If you battle at a moderate pace you should be fine selling some of these. If you plan on battling a lot and leveling up fast that way, I'd hang on to the salves.

Personally I'm going to sell a mix of healing salves and amusement items for now and then switch to carcasses once I have a functioning hunting party in a few days.

The feathers you can use as amusement items but also to craft some basic decor. Personally I won't be using this for now, since SC is a more valuable resource atm and I'll be able to get feather later on as well.

Thanks for the insight, Valana! I'll definitely be using some of that advice.

I spent what little SC I had expanding my pack by another slot. I think I'll stop here for a bit and focus on building up some resources and saving some currency before I spend anymore.

Hey HM will peobably have to be a bit different here as there is currently no such things as a replacer(Can't heritage, Stat oe Mutie rep). You can still have heritage less wolves but can't make a exsisting wolf heritagless so it will be a bit harder. Hyped for the new clan when they are added. Nice to meet/see everyone!

@Ozul

Yeah we are figuring it out as we go lol, and as Wolvden developes, as I'm sure more mechanics will be added as things get going. For now, everybody just do your best and we'll get things settled as it goes. ;) Feel free to point out any other differences too as it can help us to figure out how to translate everything quicker! ❤️

And Welcome, Ozul!! :D

Do you mind if I hang out here anyway?

I was hoping someone would start a wolvden hard mode! I can't imagine playing the game any other way after spending so long doing it on lioden. Especially with everyone starting from the ground up, it'll be extra fun to not know anything about how genetics works in this game!

I'm conflicted about inbreeding in this game since it seems like they've implemented the long-term genetics that they always hinted at in lioden. Inbreeding might actually make mutations easier to get. Like Ozul said, the different breeding/replacement system would require different rules as well. Overall I think the most important thing is to just not buy other players' wolves except if they're.... NBW? I guess that's the equivalent to NCL here.

Ya NBW is basically a NCL but can be male or female.

Inbreeding has more use here as some wolves carry a mutated gene and these genes can be carried to their offspring and for some breeding, to get a mutation you have to breed two carried genes to get the chance of a mutation to be born. So inbreeding would be helpful here.
