Back to Wolvden as of this week, I used to do hardmode in Lioden and have continued that here. Currently breeding toward naturalish looking tier 2s

Hey! I forgot to share this here! I'm hosting a simple contest to design my next breeding male. If any of you are interested in participating, the thread is here.

Hi guys, just checking in. Honestly, I'm not sure if wolvden is my thing...anyone else feel that way?
How is wolvden going for you? Any advise on how to make it fun?
Anyone still active and happily breeding? Doing projects?

Also, I saw that we now have offical clans and found one called Hard Mode, but it seems to be a diffrent Hard Mode since none of you guys seem to be over there. What's up with that?

Yo! I'm still here. I've focused on breeding T3s (I finally got some!), and keeping my original line alive. My alpha is still related to Eos, my starter wolf from over a year ago! I was writing lore for the pack, but I haven't had motivation or time to, though I'd like to change that…

I've challenged myself to only breed my wolves at certain times, and my herbalist has some pretty intense restrictions: s/he may not be bred until after the age of 4.5 years, can only breed once in their lifetime, and usually the next herbalist is one of their offspring, though I made an exception this generation. xD

I thought about nudging Cerrates and seeing about kicking up the "official" clan, but they are not very active here, either, so I dunno if it'd be worth it?

For me it just feels so overwhelming everytime I get back. With lioden it's easy, even if I keep away for half a year - I know where I am at, I knwo my projects, I know the game and most of all the upkeep for my pride is very minimal and the routines I have to do after rolling over are simple.
Here I feel like I have to micromanage everythign and knwo what every wolf in my pack is supposed to do etc.
I don't have the time to be online regularly anymore and when I do have the time I don't want to spend it trying to figure out how everything works again and again all over.

And while I get the concept of making your own rules and lore and thus creating a challenge for yourself, I feel like that's just not gonna work for me over here. I'm just not online regularly enough to keep that going and the game doesn't hook me enough to try and coem up with something.

Yeah, idk. For me the clan has always been kind of a safe place to return to. "Home", if you will. When I log on, I know I have my clan and can come back to that. I mean, we have this forum thread, so that's fine probably. And if no one's around to keep a clan maintained, then yeah, there's probably no use in having one.

Yeah, I can definitely understand that. Wolvden has a lot more to manage, stats matter more, and certain stats are more important depending on your wolf's role. I still haven't gotten the knack for selecting and replacing hunters. I like that the game is a little more challenging that way, but with how much new content is still being introduced, I can imagine playing catch up is intimidating. You don't need something to make it harder. x)

If you need help, you're always welcome to reach out to me and I'll do what I can! <3

I think just this thread is okay for now, unless Cerrates decides to tackle Wolvden again.

That's really kind of you, but I just don't see myself doing much at all on wolvden.
I've been looking at my pack and I honestly have no idea whatsoever what my plans were or who is my heir, if I even have one etc...
I'm gonna think a bit more on it, but I feel like I'll end up going as minimalistic as I possibly can and just logging on once in a while when I feel like it.

I think I've finally gotten the hang of this whole Wolvden thing lol. I didn't realize that I could send out two teams of hunters I am so dumb sometimes. Now that I know that I've been getting several large carcasses a day, plus exploring the Tundra non-stop for the extra food the walrus calf carcasses bring. Finally feeling like I can actually try and expand my pack some.
