tips on how to price puppies?

the search function in the trading center is a bit tricky for me to navigate, especially when I'm used to neopets or flight rising

ESPECIALLY as a new player, I don't know how much my pups are worth to try and sell!

any help would be appreciated on general rules/trends that people follow, what kind of things are valuable (beyond the tier of the base) and how to title the trades when you post them, thanks in advance!

I've got like, twelve pups i want to sell because four of my females got in heat at the same time and there's no way I have space for all of them but they've got some pretty cool looking markings

Right now it's really hard to price pups, since the market it's still unstable.

If you really don't know how to price them, you could just left them open for offers without a buyout and see what others offer you.

Or you could put a slightly high price as buyout and then write in the trade that you would consider lower offers.

Personally, I price a bit more puppies that have markings with high opacity and whose look is particular and different.

I usually price my fails at 5 to 15 depending on amount of markings and their opacity. Nice looking fails I price between 20 and 50 and see if someone is interested.

So what I look at before pricing:

Base - breed-only? I or II?

markings - combo colours, inuit unders or tamaskan, merle, 6+?

eyes - glass?

skin/nose - marbled?

stats - above 300?

If any of those apply, I will usually want more for the pup. If not, they will probably not sell for much (personal experience)

next up, I check TC for under 1 year, same base and a minimum of stats about 10 stats below what I have (number lowered if very few trades show up). Then i just compare. And after I picked a price, I decide if I want more or not. Personally, I am not interested in selling pups for 5sc; in that case they are chased or (if somewhat interesting) raised to adulthood to be then hopefully added to the chased pool.

I just looked over my pups and all of them have at least two to three markings but nothing special otherwise, their stats aren't 300 but 50 below, that's some good tips for the way to search for pups similar though thank you!
