Can I request a dumbed down version of this?

Tracking only

Stats predict best job for wolf

Mainly an advanced generator of stat prediction, that can save the info quickly rather than having two different docs up?

@Warbrand you can actually modify the existing spreadsheet quite easily by hiding the columns you don't need. Simply highlight the columns, right click, and select 'hide'

I'm afraid I don't quite understand what you mean by an advanced stat predictor, though

You have the stat calculator is what I mean.

I'm ocd about tabs so it would not work for me. XD

I'm six years late to replying to @Warband i am so sorry: I could indeed make a stat calculator separate, but rn I'm focusing on this spreadsheet as a whole first. Sorry! You could always just... delete the other tabs and keep the breeding tab?

@Liza You're not stupid at all! Things can be confusing esp. if this is your first time interacting with the software.

To make your own copy to save onto your Google Drive: Go to the top left -> File -> Make Copy

There are multiple tabs to this spreadsheet. If you look at the bottom left, you'll see the tabs. Simply click on another tab to see it.

I'm getting a "Something Broke" result in the "Rec. Hunting Pos." column with this wolf's stats- its not an issue for me as they're not actually a hunter (I was just curious what the calculator would set them as so picked hunter for funsies) but I couldn't see a report of it elsewhere on here. Currently her stats are 249 - 50, 48, 52, 49, 50, and if i type them out manually it comes up with the same error.

This is literally the only issue ive run into with this, its such a detailed spreadsheet I love it!! The copy-paste page is such a good feature, I'd never have time to go through all of that data manually

Edit: I just noticed the death age is calculated at 7yrs, its confirmed 7yrs 6 months now!

@Embers i'm heckin scREAMIN. okay this is gonna be a lengthy explanation but basically how the formula calculates which position is best is by determining a Finishing/Chasing/Stalking stat.

Finishing = Strength Stat
Chasing = (Agility + Speed) / 2
Stalking = (Wisdom + Smarts) /2

SO, for this wolf:
Finishing = 50
Chasing = 50
Stalking = 49.5, rounded up to 50

what's happening with your wolf there is, basically, all three role stats ended up being more or less equal, meaning all three positions are equally as viable. I haven't quite written up an if/then statement to account for this yet, because I couldn't find a wolf to test it out on, so it spits out 'something broke'.

Oh geeze that does sound tricky to set up naturally, glad I could help find a test case! XD Thanks for explaining =D

This is so great, thank you! I've been using it and added a column in Other called "Status" with values of Alive, Deceased, Sold, and Chased and it's been working really well :) I can keep track of how many wolves I chase now!
