how do you guys deal with proficiency in new wolves?

if you slowly replace the hunting females with one wolf at a time, then the synergy will not drop super low. same with a scout. i tend to have two scouts, one who is low proficiency & one who is high so that one can scout areas while the other rescouts. not much to do with the herbalist unfortunately. kind of just have to go back :/
