Chased Puppies

This might be a dumb question but I'm having trouble finding info through research of my own so I figured someone else here might know.

I know that if you chase pups they don't appear as NBW, but what happens to them in terms of like...their parents' family history? Would they be considered deceased at that point, or just simply erased as being no longer part of the pack? 

I'm kindof curious to know since I have some pups from my lead that won't sell (and I need space soon) so I may end up chasing them, so I'm wondering what will happen to his "living offspring" list once they've been chased. It's not a HUGE deal of course since I know pups die, Ive just been super lucky to not have any deaths yet so I have no idea what happens lol

Chased puppies are considered dead and deleted from the game. they do not appear in the offspring list under their parents. 

That makes sense! Kinda sad that they go away like that, but I guess I just have to deal since their offspring will die off eventually anyway.
