Newbie in need of adoption

Hey y'all, just started Wolvden and I'm excited to play but DEFINITELY a bit lost. If there's anyone who has experience / knowledge of the game and is willing to help me as I try and figure out how to do things in this game, that'd be super appreciated !
Otherwise, if anyone knows how to pause quests, I'm currently trapped in one I can't complete and can't figure out how to pause them ;;

I am also new so I can't adopt you. But I can answer your pause a quest question. You can pause quests by going to Crossroads > Questing > Unique Questing - Click on your quest to view details and go to the bottom of details. You will see the button to pause the quest :)

I appreciate the reply!!! But I am missing something possibly; this is what I'm seeing, is there something else I need to be doing to access the quest pause? I need to pause it because I accidentally recruited a wolf outside of the quest and don't have room for the new one the quest wants me to pick up :(
