Silver Cones

Any advice on how I can get Silver Cones? I'm losing more than I am getting them. I end up spending around twenty of them each time I visit a herbalist. 

Speaking from my own experience, the best way is to:

1. Do daily quests from Crossroads --> Quest Snake - get easily 100+ SC per quest.
2. Sell excess food, I tend to keep the bigger carcasses and feed my wolves with them, while selling all stoat carcasses, eggs, fish, meat chunks, and other small stuff.
3. Once you have your main cave and quarantine cave (for sick wolves), sell your Large Leaves, Rocks and Branches.
4. Sell your puppies to the Trading Center.
